2000trees Festival is another of the independent UK festivals that consistently provides an excellent mixture of new and underground rock music. If you’re looking for a weekend set the Cotswold Hills to accompany a weekend of cracking music, then look no further. Headliners this year include Enter Shikari, and a UK Festival exclusive of post-hardcore band At The Drive In. The really exciting thing about this year’s festival is the shear number of acts that have recently, or are about to drop new albums.

Thursday night will see Arcane Roots on the main stage, who provided one of best the albums of 2017 in Melancholia Hymns. 2018 has seen fantastic debut albums released by both Press to MECO, and Gold Key. Black Peaks, who are appearing for their third year in a row should also have a new album out later this year.

Black Peaks told us – “2000trees Festival has always been a very special festival to our band – it’s a proper music festival for proper music fans, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else, and once again the lineup is amazing. We’ve played with and met some awesome people at this festival. We can’t wait to be back, and to bring some new tunes with us!

Sløtface (Try Not To Freak Out was one of our Albums Of The Year 2017) who unfortunately had to pull out last year are lined up for The Axiom on Friday.  Friday also sees No Violet, my tip for the band whose set you’ll want to catch. The grunge/alt rock four piece caught my attention at last year’s Truck Festival thanks to front woman Ellie’s amazingly versatile vocals.

Another band whose return to the festival will please punters are pop rock band Vukovi, who said – 2000trees Festival was the first festival we played after our debut album was released. Our first full tent to a sea of rock fans watching your every move. The rest of our summer had a lot to live up-to.”

We’ve gone big this year with our headliners, but the thing I’m the most proud of is the less well known, up-and-coming bands on the line up. 2000trees Festival is the place to discover your new favourite band so everyone needs to go and check out our Spotify playlist now. My personal recommendations are Chapter and Verse, Fangclub, Gender Roles and Conjurer, but I can promise you that all the bands are amazing!said Festival organiser James Scarlett
