Alexander Stewart Shares New EP If You Only Knew

by | Dec 8, 2023

Following his sold-out headline show in London earlier this week, breakout pop sensation Alexander Stewart has released his new EP if you only knew. The EP comes on the heels of Stewart earning the #2 spot on TikTok’s 2023 The Hitmakers list as the second most viewed artist on the platform in Canada. The 24-year-old celebrated the EP’s release with an intimate show at London’s The Forge at the Lower Third this week and will perform for NYC fans next week on 12th December at Bowery Electric.

if you only knew finds the Toronto-born singer-songwriter baring his soul as he details his trials and tribulations in love and in friendship, as well as navigating the challenges of mental health. The EP features six tracks all co-written by Alexander, including the viral pop smash ‘i wish you cheated’ and ‘he never will.’

You can listen to the EP here and watch the visualiser for the emotional title track below:

“Writing these songs was the most beautiful and heartbreaking process I think I’ve been through,” Stewart says. “I’ve poured so much emotion into this EP, and it captures so many vulnerable moments from my life, with if you only knew being one of the heaviest. As a songwriter, it’s really cathartic to be able to share this story, and my only hope is that it helps people who might be struggling in their own ways.”

Following his upcoming intimate show for NYC fans, the Canadian singer will debut a live performance of if you only knew on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, December 13th. Previously, Stewart made his late-night TV debut performing I wish you cheated on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which you can watch here. The track launched with a viral TikTok campaign that amassed over 45 million views and has since reached over 37 million global streams to date.
