French experimental duo Angine de Poitrine have unveiled details of their eagerly anticipated new album Vol. II, set for release on 3rd April 2026, alongside news of a completely sold-out debut UK tour this May.
The mysterious “microtonal cardboard duo” – known only as Khn de Poitrine and Klek de Poitrine – have rapidly built a cult following over the past two years, driven by their hypnotic, mathematically precise sound and electrifying live performances. Their rise has been fuelled in part by a widely viewed live session with KEXP, which has introduced millions to their boundary-pushing approach.
Vol. II marks the next chapter in the duo’s evolution, expanding their signature sound into even more dynamic and unpredictable territory. Built around intricate microtonal guitar loops and tightly interwoven rhythms, the album promises a high-voltage listening experience that blurs the line between experimental composition and visceral, body-moving grooves. Lead single Fabienk offers a taste of what’s to come, looping and mutating around a single motif that gradually unfolds into something both hypnotic and euphoric.
The release arrives amid a whirlwind period for the band, who have spent much of the past two years performing to growing audiences across Europe and North America. Their upcoming UK shows will mark a significant milestone, with sold-out performances in London, Bristol and Leeds highlighting the scale of anticipation surrounding their first visit to British shores.
Beyond their headline dates, Angine de Poitrine will also make their UK festival debut at The Great Escape this May, before returning later in the year for a slot at End Of The Road Festival.
Remaining deliberately anonymous, the duo continue to lean into the mythology surrounding the project, framing their music as a constantly shifting sonic experiment. With Vol. II, they further cement their reputation as one of the most intriguing and unconventional acts operating in the global underground.
