London-based artist Domi Hawken continues her ambitious run of monthly releases with the announcement of her latest single, Break My Heart Again.

The track marks the third instalment in Hawken’s self-imposed “12 songs in 12 months” project — a prolific and deliberate statement from an artist determined to capture momentum in real time. Rather than waiting to compile material into a traditional album cycle, Hawken is embracing immediacy, releasing music as it evolves.

Break My Heart Again lands with a raw, punchy edge, swapping vulnerability for something far more confrontational. Built on driving guitars and a gritty alt-rock backbone, the single leans into defiance, reframing heartbreak not as defeat, but as fuel. It’s a sound that reflects Hawken’s broad influences, drawing equally from the poetic introspection of Leonard Cohen and the heavier, riff-driven weight of Black Sabbath.

Blending elements of punk, folk and classic rock, Hawken’s music carries a duality that feels both nostalgic and forward-facing. Her vocals sit at the centre of that balance — soulful yet urgent — delivering songs that feel lived-in but immediate.

Having recently introduced new material during performances in Paris, Hawken is steadily building a catalogue that reflects both consistency and evolution. With nine more releases still to come this year, Break My Heart Again is another step in what is shaping up to be a defining period for the artist.

At a time when many artists slow their output, Hawken is doing the opposite — leaning into creative instinct and letting the songs arrive as they are.

LA-based alt-pop riser Chloe Star returns with her latest single Emergency Contact, a bold and emotionally charged anthem that sees the artist transforming heartbreak into empowerment.
The track continues a run of increasingly self-assured releases, following recent singles that have steadily expanded Chloe’s sonic and emotional palette. On Emergency Contact, she leans fully into confrontation—pairing gritty, high-impact production with sharp lyricism and commanding vocals that refuse to hold back.

At its core, the song tackles the breaking point of one-sided love. Co-written with JP Clark, whose credits include work with blink-182 and Kim Petras, the track captures the moment of reclaiming self-worth after emotional burnout. Chloe describes it as a turning point—choosing to stop being the person who always shows up when that energy isn’t returned.

Musically, Emergency Contact balances raw vulnerability with an explosive, rebellious edge. There’s a sense of release in its delivery—equal parts catharsis and defiance—capturing the emotional clarity that comes from walking away. As Chloe puts it, the track feels like “walking through the clouds with your middle finger to the sky,” a fitting image for a song that thrives on unapologetic self-assertion.

Since her debut in 2023, Chloe Star has carved out a distinctive lane within the alt-pop space, blending genre-fluid production with deeply personal storytelling. Drawing from her Indigenous and Persian heritage, and experiences growing up between Los Angeles and her family’s reservation, her work is rooted in identity, visibility and emotional honesty. That perspective continues to resonate with a rapidly expanding audience, further amplified by her electrifying live shows—including a Pride Tour that saw her perform across both the US and UK in 2025.

With Emergency Contact, Chloe Star not only sharpens her artistic voice but reinforces her place among a new wave of boundary-pushing pop artists—unafraid to confront, disrupt and ultimately take control of their own narrative.

Award-winning actor and musician Damian Lewis has announced details of his second studio album Sweet Chaos, set for release on 5th June 2026, alongside the arrival of its powerful title track.

Following the success of his 2023 debut Mission Creep, Lewis returns with a record shaped by reflection, growth and a more confrontational emotional edge. Where his debut was marked by introspection and grief, Sweet Chaos finds him pushing further, both sonically and thematically, into bolder territory.

“The first album was quiet and tender,” Lewis explains. “This new album is a bit angrier in places… you don’t know these things until you listen back: the extent to which your state of mind pervades the thing.”

The newly released single Sweet Chaos sets the tone for the record’s wider ambition. Written with live performance in mind, it unfolds on a sweeping, cinematic scale, built around the idea of a life disrupted by chaos, only for that upheaval to unlock something liberating and transformative. It’s a statement of intent that signals a clear step forward in Lewis’s musical journey.

The album itself came together following a turning point collaboration with renowned producer Guy Chambers, whose work helped reshape the project after earlier sessions stalled. Recorded in west London, the partnership brought a renewed clarity and focus to the material, with Lewis crediting Chambers’ experience and honesty as pivotal to the album’s direction.

Across its ten tracks, Sweet Chaos moves between brooding blues-rock, expansive storytelling and moments of quiet vulnerability. Songs like No Man’s Land and Leech confront themes of love and grief under pressure, while Pentonville Prison revisits a near-fatal motorcycle accident from Lewis’s past. Elsewhere, Traffic Jam nods to David Bowie in both tone and imagery, and closing track Fix Me Up features a striking duet with Alison Mosshart of The Kills.

Throughout, Lewis’s songwriting remains rooted in narrative and lived experience, delivered with a voice that continues to carve out its own identity beyond his acting career. There’s a sense that Sweet Chaos is not just a follow-up, but a defining statement, one that leans fully into the emotional and performative power of music.

With a full tour yet to be announced, Lewis will preview the album through a series of intimate in-store performances across the UK this June, offering fans an early glimpse of material clearly designed with the stage in mind.

The mysterious “microtonal cardboard duo” – known only as Khn de Poitrine and Klek de Poitrine – have rapidly built a cult following over the past two years, driven by their hypnotic, mathematically precise sound and electrifying live performances. Their rise has been fuelled in part by a widely viewed live session with KEXP, which has introduced millions to their boundary-pushing approach.

Vol. II marks the next chapter in the duo’s evolution, expanding their signature sound into even more dynamic and unpredictable territory. Built around intricate microtonal guitar loops and tightly interwoven rhythms, the album promises a high-voltage listening experience that blurs the line between experimental composition and visceral, body-moving grooves. Lead single Fabienk offers a taste of what’s to come, looping and mutating around a single motif that gradually unfolds into something both hypnotic and euphoric.

The release arrives amid a whirlwind period for the band, who have spent much of the past two years performing to growing audiences across Europe and North America. Their upcoming UK shows will mark a significant milestone, with sold-out performances in London, Bristol and Leeds highlighting the scale of anticipation surrounding their first visit to British shores.

Beyond their headline dates, Angine de Poitrine will also make their UK festival debut at The Great Escape this May, before returning later in the year for a slot at End Of The Road Festival.

Remaining deliberately anonymous, the duo continue to lean into the mythology surrounding the project, framing their music as a constantly shifting sonic experiment. With Vol. II, they further cement their reputation as one of the most intriguing and unconventional acts operating in the global underground.

Nearly two decades on from their breakthrough, the trio—fronted by Roy Stride—show no signs of slowing down. Their latest record channels the band’s signature feel-good energy, pairing anthemic hooks with a renewed sense of purpose, all rooted in the joy of live music and shared experiences.

“What this album is about… it’s all the same: bringing people together through live music and having a good time and singing along,” Stride explains. That ethos runs throughout the record, which leans into the band’s trademark optimism while reflecting on the journey that’s brought them here.

Focus track Stars Never Fade captures that spirit perfectly, inspired by the collective euphoria of huge live moments and built around a soaring, singalong chorus. Elsewhere, the album delivers a mix of arena-ready anthems and heartfelt pop, from the punchy Get What You Give to the energetic Waiting For Your Love and the buoyant Love Gone Bad. Closing track Alright In The End rounds things off with a flourish of piano and brass, nodding to classic pop influences while keeping the band’s identity front and centre.

The release comes at a time when Scouting For Girls are enjoying a fresh wave of momentum. Their current UK tour has sold out all 24 dates, while their previous album marked a return to the Top 20—setting the stage for an even bigger chapter ahead.

To mark their 20th anniversary, the band have now confirmed two landmark shows in February 2027, set to play to around 33,000 fans across one celebratory weekend. It’s a full-circle moment for a band whose journey began with humble beginnings in London.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for us,” says Stride. “One of the first gigs we ever played together was at Wembley Youth Club… so the fact we now get to play Wembley Arena feels completely mad in the best possible way.”

With a packed festival schedule also on the horizon—including appearances alongside McFly—and a series of intimate in-store performances celebrating the album’s release, Scouting For Girls are making it clear that their story is far from finished.

If anything, These Are The Good Days feels less like a retrospective and more like a celebration of the now—one that invites fans old and new to sing along every step of the way.
