The track uses fruit as a metaphor for movement, self-worth and the courage required to reach beyond familiar surroundings. Beneath its electronic sheen is a song about restlessness and the uncomfortable realisation that remaining in a comfortable place can sometimes mean holding yourself back.

Brun describes Eat The Fruit as a poetic companion to her 2023 track Hand In The Fire, with both songs emerging from a similar state of emotional unease. “Eat The Fruit is a poetic sister to my track Hand In The Fire, which came out in 2023. Both songs circle the same state of mind, one I sometimes find myself in, where I feel like I’m procrastinating and not embracing life or the connections I long for.”

That search for connection ultimately turns inward, with Brun reflecting on the difficulty of understanding her own motivations and desires. “Perhaps most of all, the connection to myself. It usually brings a deep restlessness, and sends me searching for the why and the how. The answers are many-layered, and it may take me a lifetime to work them out.”

The collaboration with Röyksopp brings another dimension to the track, with the Norwegian duo transforming Brun’s songwriting into something darker, more immersive and dancefloor-ready. For Brun, working with the electronic pioneers represents a long-held ambition. “It is a dream come true, and hearing my voice and lyrics melt into their signature sound is truly something special.”

She adds that she loves the way Röyksopp have shaped the track into something “dark, entrancing and liberating”, with hopes that it will find an audience everywhere from dancefloors to headphones.

Röyksopp similarly praise Brun’s distinctive creative voice, describing the collaboration as a meeting of artists built around a shared trust in the creative process. “She had an idea, she had a vision, and we were lucky enough to be invited into her domain. Ane, as an artist, is a rare creative talent with a one-of-a-kind, signature voice.”

Eat The Fruit offers a further glimpse into I Thought We Were The Same, Brun’s first collection of newly written material in six years. Written across three transformative years, the album explores trust, identity, betrayal and the ability to rebuild after relationships and assumptions have fractured.

Sonically, the record marks another significant step forward. Following the world established on After The Great Storm, Brun embraces a more expansive electronic-pop approach, allowing bigger choruses and more immediate hooks into her songwriting without sacrificing the emotional vulnerability that has long defined her music. “With this album, I wanted to experiment with how far I could take my music into a clearer and more pop sound with distinct choruses and hooks without the music losing its nerve.”

The album’s opening track, Hold Me, was co-written and produced with Norwegian electronic artist ARY and explores the uneasy space between longing and illusion. Its portrayal of two lovers caught between desire and dysfunction establishes the album’s wider examination of connection, vulnerability and emotional uncertainty.

Elsewhere, How Can I Hold Your Hand brings a feverish modern R&B influence to the project, featuring Emilie Nicolas, known for her collaborations with Björk.

At the centre of I Thought We Were The Same is a broader question about trust: what happens when people we believe we know become strangers, and how do we continue to open ourselves to others after that trust has been damaged?

For Brun, the answer lies not in abandoning vulnerability but in recognising its value. “This album became a way of understanding how deeply trust lives in us. It’s extraordinary that we continue to trust each other, knowing it can be broken at any moment. That vulnerability is one of the most beautiful things about being human.”

Across its songs, Brun examines the fragile structures we build with one another and the remarkable human instinct to continue choosing connection despite knowing that it can hurt.

For more than 20 years, Brun has forged a career entirely on her own terms, balancing her work as a performer and songwriter with production and the running of her own independent label. December Sunshine arrives as Olympia builds on a breakthrough year that has seen her release her latest EP Lady Luck, appear at major festivals across the UK and Europe, and establish herself as one of the country’s most compelling emerging soul voices.

Built around the idea of love as a refuge from the cold, December Sunshine captures the particular longing of winter and the warmth found in another person. Drawing on the rich textures of classic soul, the track pairs Olympia’s expressive vocal with Common Saints’ carefully crafted production, creating a vintage-leaning sound that complements the intimacy of its subject matter.

Olympia explains that the song was written during the depths of a British winter, with its central idea coming from the contrast between physical cold and emotional warmth. “December Sunshine was written in the dead of the British winter when I was wearing a couple layers and thermals in the studio. It’s about when the warmth you crave in the winter is in the form of a person you love.”

Written quickly and sitting naturally alongside the material on Lady Luck, the track nevertheless occupies a slightly different sonic space. Olympia and Common Saints drew inspiration from 1960s and 1970s soul, listening to records including Marlena Shaw’s The Spice Of Life before shaping the production into its deliberately vintage sound.

For Common Saints, the collaboration has developed naturally from an ongoing creative partnership. “Olympia and I have been collaborating for a while and this song came about very naturally. We drew heavily upon both our taste and inspirations from the 1960s and ‘70s and she really captured the magic in the vocal.”

December Sunshine follows Lady Luck, Olympia’s July 2026 EP and the most considered sonic statement of her career so far. Produced in its entirety by Charlie J Perry, the record explores the relationship between talent and timing, questioning the moment when preparation meets opportunity and what it means to trust your own instincts.

Rather than treating luck as something entirely accidental, Lady Luck considers the courage required to recognise an opportunity and act upon it. Across the project, Olympia turns the observational songwriting of her earlier work towards herself, creating a record concerned with timing, self-belief and the willingness to back your own potential.

The EP has now surpassed two million streams, building on the momentum of Olympia’s 2025 debut EP People Watching. Her growing profile has also been reflected in an increasingly prominent live schedule, with summer appearances at Love Supreme, All Points East, Good Vibrations and GENT Jazz adding to previous festival performances at We Out Here, Cross The Tracks and St Lucia Jazz Festival.

Olympia’s reputation as a live performer has also been strengthened by support appearances alongside Baby Rose, Teddy Swims and Bilal, as well as her appearance on A COLORS SHOW. Earlier this year, she celebrated Lady Luck with an intimate performance at St Pancras Old Church.

That live momentum continues this month, with Olympia set to play a sold-out show at London’s Kings Place on 16th October.

Raised in West London, Olympia’s musical foundations were shaped by seven years singing in gospel choirs and a broad range of influences that stretches from Aretha Franklin and Amy Winehouse to Nas and Kendrick Lamar. Those influences feed into a soulful approach that balances classic vocal traditions with contemporary songwriting and a sharp eye for the details of everyday life.

Meanwhile, Common Saints brings more than a decade of production and songwriting experience to the collaboration. Charlie J Perry has worked with artists including Jorja Smith, Olivia Dean, Maverick Sabre, Lola Young and BTS, while his work as Common Saints has developed a distinct identity built around immersive production, ambient soul and cinematic textures.

His debut solo album Cinema 3000 established that sound across 14 tracks, while Equinox pushed the project further, demonstrating Perry’s ability to operate as both producer and artist in his own right.

Together, Olympia and Common Saints find common ground in December Sunshine, combining classic soul influences with a contemporary intimacy. For Olympia, it provides another chapter following Lady Luck, while reinforcing the sense that an artist who once described herself as more observer than passenger is now firmly stepping into the centre of her own story.

The two-night celebration marks a major return for the band after they announced their retirement from touring in 2024. The concerts will bring together Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer for what promises to be a spectacular celebration of the band’s five-decade legacy.

Rather than a conventional comeback tour, California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends will be a pair of unique, guest-filled performances, with an extraordinary roster of rock legends and contemporary artists joining Aerosmith across the two nights.

The concerts are expected to draw heavily from Aerosmith‘s vast catalogue, spanning the band’s blues-rock beginnings through to the arena anthems that made them one of America’s defining rock acts. The timing also comes during a significant period for Aerosmith, who have spent 2026 revisiting the earliest chapter of their career. In March, the band released Aerosmith (Legendary Edition), a substantial reworking and expansion of their 1973 self-titled debut album. The collection features remastered and remixed versions of the original record, a live performance recorded at Paul’s Mall in 1973 and previously unheard studio material.

The Hollywood Bowl shows follow a turbulent period for the band. Aerosmith had announced their retirement from touring after frontman Steven Tyler suffered a larynx injury during their 2023 farewell tour, with the injury ultimately preventing the band from completing the run. Tyler has nevertheless made occasional appearances since, including performances alongside Joe Perry and other artists.

The return also follows the band’s 2025 collaboration with YUNGBLUD, which resulted in the One More Time EP and gave Aerosmith a new chapter to explore alongside their extensive back catalogue.

Tickets go on general sale on Saturday 10 October at 10am PDT, following presales for Citi cardmembers and members of Aero Force One. A portion of proceeds from the concerts will benefit Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund.

Alongside previously released tracks SAID WHAT I SAID, HYDRA and Go Back, the EP features three previously unheard songs, including lead single and closing track We Are One.

Written while Hyphen’s father was in intensive care following a serious and potentially fatal car crash, We Are One turns an intensely personal experience into a wider reflection on community, humanity and the NHS.

Hyphen explains: “My Dad nearly died in a car crash a few weeks ago. I wrote this while he was in intensive care, unsure of whether he’d live or not. NHS staff from all around the world worked tirelessly to answer the prayers of families hoping their loved ones would survive. I bonded with total strangers with totally different backgrounds and experiences over our shared proximity to death. That experience made me feel that most humans are good, most humans care – we are one.”

The personal circumstances behind We Are One feed directly into the wider themes of Here To Stay, which Hyphen sees as a record about surviving both deeply personal and wider societal crises. “Here To Stay is an EP about survival. My father surviving a car crash. Humans surviving political crisis. Immigrants surviving racism. Me surviving suicide. The world is undeniably dark. But there’s light everywhere. Human’s adaptability and resilience is unquestionable.”

Hyphen continues by positioning the EP as something for listeners to turn to during difficult moments, while directing his anger towards the inequalities and political frustrations that run throughout his music. “I hope the EP is something people can hold onto when they feel hopeless. I hope it gives focus to the rage we feel at the parasitic richest among us who would burn the world instead of confronting the abyss within them.”

The EP ultimately returns to an idea of shared humanity, with Hyphen drawing a connection between individual experience and something much larger. “I used to think I was a human experiencing the universe, now I think I’m the universe experiencing a human. We are all part of the same fabric, the music is a reminder of that. I hope you find comfort in it.”

The release will be celebrated with an EP launch party at The Elephant’s Head in Camden on 3 November. Starting at 7pm, the event will feature a live performance from Hyphen and his band alongside elements of traditional South Asian culture, including celebratory garlands and a henna tattoo artist creating traditional designs for attendees.

The launch arrives shortly before Hyphen joins punk duo Kid Kapichi for their UK headline tour. The run begins at Electric Bristol on 12 November before travelling to Falmouth, Southampton, Norwich, Glasgow, Nottingham and Manchester, culminating at Outernet in London on 20 November.

The dates follow a packed summer for the London-based artist, who appeared at festivals including Green Man, 2000 Trees, Kendal Calling and Boomtown. Earlier in the year, Hyphen completed his biggest UK headline tour to date, including a sold-out show at Scala in London, with support from Native James, Mudrat and Gen and the Degenerates.

His festival history also includes appearances at The Great Escape, Reading & Leeds and Latitude, while his live performances have become central to his growing reputation. Blending rap, punk and hip-hop, Hyphen regularly takes his performances into the crowd, creating an environment built around community and participation.

That sense of togetherness sits alongside music that tackles serious subjects including racism, immigration, politics and mental health, with Hyphen balancing the weight of those themes with humour, mischief and a deliberately irreverent approach.

The event takes its inspiration from the Greenpeace Field at Glastonbury Festival, which has provided a platform for live music, DJs, artists and activists for more than three decades. Action All Areas aims to bring that same combination of music and activism indoors, creating a night where performers and audiences come together around Greenpeace’s ongoing campaigns on climate, oceans and the right to protest.

For more than 50 years, Greenpeace has used peaceful protest and public campaigning to push for environmental change. The organisation’s presence at Glastonbury has become an established part of the festival, with previous performances from artists including Peter Doherty, Fatboy Slim, Idris Elba, Nova Twins, Moonchild Sanelly, Lambrini Girls, Myles Smith, Bimini, Mel C and Tim Burgess.

At the Roundhouse, James Bay, Self Esteem and Jade Bird will bring three distinctive musical voices to the event.

Platinum-selling, BRIT Award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter James Bay joins the bill for an exclusive performance, while Self Esteem, the acclaimed project of Rebecca Lucy Taylor, returns to the Greenpeace stage following previous appearances at the Glastonbury Field and the 2020 digital edition of Action All Areas.

Also appearing is Jade Bird, whose blend of modern Americana and emotionally direct songwriting has established her as one of the UK’s distinctive contemporary singer-songwriters. Her most recent album, Who Wants To Talk About Love?, explores inherited patterns and personal relationships through a collection of expansive, emotionally charged songs.

The name Action All Areas deliberately plays on the backstage access pass, transforming the idea of exclusive access into an invitation for collective participation. The event’s central message is that tackling the climate and ocean crises requires action across every part of society, while also defending the right to protest as an essential part of a functioning democracy.

Music has long provided a soundtrack to social and political movements, and Greenpeace sees the combination of live performance and activism as a way of creating space for audiences to engage with issues beyond the concert itself. Action All Areas will bring artists, activists and audiences together for an evening centred on creative expression and collective action.

The event also represents the latest stage of Greenpeace UK and Roundhouse‘s existing relationship. Their partnership began three years ago through the Roundhouse Live Event Experience internship, a four-month career development programme delivered with the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust.

The programme supports young people aged 21–25 who face barriers to entering the live entertainment industry, giving participants practical experience behind the scenes at the Roundhouse and through Greenpeace’s festival production work. Interns have the opportunity to work across events including Glastonbury and Latitude.

Action All Areas therefore brings together two strands of the partnership: Greenpeace’s history of using creativity to engage audiences with environmental campaigning and the Roundhouse’s commitment to developing the next generation of creative and live-event professionals.

Luke Cordingley, Creative Producer at Greenpeace UK, says the event is designed around the connection between music, creativity and the ability to campaign for change. “Bringing a high-impact event like Action All Areas to London is all about energy and intentionality. Protecting our right to protest is intrinsically linked to our ability to secure real climate action – without the freedom to stand up and demand change, the planet loses its loudest defenders.”

Natasha Haddad, Head of Music at the Roundhouse, describes the event as a natural progression of the organisations’ existing work together, with the venue set to welcome Self Esteem, James Bay and Jade Bird to its stage in support of Greenpeace’s mission.

Self Esteem says the event reflects the community and collective spirit at the heart of live music, adding that protecting the right to protest and the planet is essential.

Jade Bird also welcomes the opportunity to perform at the Roundhouse, describing the venue as one of her favourites in London and highlighting the importance of music as a vehicle for change.

With further performances, a host and additional campaign collaborations still to be announced, Action All Areas promises to extend the atmosphere of the Greenpeace Field beyond the festival season and into the heart of Camden.
