Nottingham trio Bloodworm have unveiled their brooding new single Alone In Your Garden alongside news of their debut EP Blood & Lust, set for release on 24th April.
The track marks a darker turn for the rising band, leaning further into gothic textures and shadowy atmospheres than previous single Bloodlust. Built around icy guitars and a sense of autumnal stillness, Alone In Your Garden showcases the trio’s evolving sound—one that blends post-punk urgency with elements of English folk storytelling.
Frontman George Curtis describes the song as inspired by the sensory detail of the colder months, aiming to capture “the smell of the air, the falling leaves, the damp stillness” of autumn, while weaving in influences from traditional folklore and gothic aesthetics.
Bloodworm have steadily built momentum over the past 18 months through a series of formative live shows, earning a growing reputation for their intense and atmospheric performances. Their rise has been fuelled by strong word-of-mouth and key support slots, including a recent sold-out UK tour with Suede—an opportunity that came after guitarist Richard Oakes caught an early London show and invited them on the road.
At home, the band have already demonstrated their pulling power, selling out headline shows including a standout Halloween performance in Nottingham.
To celebrate the release of Blood & Lust, Bloodworm will embark on a UK headline tour this spring, bringing their dark, immersive sound to venues across the country.
