Driven by heavy guitar riffs, brooding synth textures and a soaring sing-along chorus, the track captures the defiant spirit that runs throughout Satellite. The accompanying visual, directed by Juan Flores and Ethan Jones, mirrors that intensity with a performance-led concept packed with kinetic energy and chaotic office-style scenes.

Sands also played a hands-on role in the video’s creation, co-editing the final cut with Flores while styling the entire shoot herself. Every outfit featured in the clip was assembled from thrifted pieces, which she then tailored to suit the aesthetic of the video.

Speaking about the concept, Sands explained she wanted to create visuals that matched the song’s energy while remaining achievable within an independent production budget. Inspired by editorial office photography and a Y2K-tinged colour palette reminiscent of the world of Severance, the team located an old record studio office near Los Angeles that perfectly suited the vibe. The result ties visually into the album artwork while allowing the performance and raw momentum of the track to drive the narrative.

Since emerging in 2018, Sands has built a reputation as one of alternative pop’s most fearless voices, blending genre-spanning sounds with candid songwriting and a powerful live presence. Her rise has been fuelled by relentless touring, sharing stages with major acts including My Chemical Romance, 5 Seconds Of Summer, PVRIS and YUNGBLUD.

The singer has also achieved major milestones as an independent artist, including chart success in the U.S. Top 40 and hundreds of millions of global streams. Her momentum continued with the global headline tour supporting her 2024 album Can We Start Over?.
