Following a massive 15 year absence from the live music scene and five years on from fourth record The Girl Who Got Away, Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong (or just Dido to you and me) has announced her fifth studio album Still On My Mind as well as news of a tour this time around. Written and recorded in England alongside her long term collaborator and brother Rollo Armstrong of Faithless infamy, Dido’s long-awaited fifth LP drops on 8th March 2019. “It was simple, I only wanted to make another album if it was with him” says Dido of working with Rollo. “It was made in such an easy way, all the vocals recorded on the sofa, a lot of it recorded at home”.

Say those close to the material: Still On My Mind encapsulates a variety of styles and genres, ranging from her love of hip hop to her folk roots, but ultimately the entire record carries a dance and electronic music sensibility, even on the tracks with no beats. At the core, it’s about the songs which capture the beautiful essence of Dido personally and emotionally.

The Thank You and Here With Me hit-maker has released a sneak-peek by way of new single Hurricanes, a song that takes those delicate tones we remember and elevates them to a new level – check out the video below:

Dido describes the making of this album as “an absolutely magical experience”. She says: “I wanted to capture the feeling I still get from listening to music, just that rush like you don’t need anything more than this”. In support of the record, she will embark on a massive 28-day world tour, including 5 UK and Ireland dates with two stops at Camden’s Roundhouse venue.
