London singer-songwriter, poet and model Freya Beer returns with Off The Tracks, a darkly seductive new single that explores the intoxicating point where romance, danger and desire collide.
Released on 2nd October 2026, Off The Tracks presents Beer at her most cinematic, drawing on the rebellious mythology of James Dean, the glamour of Golden Age Hollywood and the surreal, provocative atmosphere of The Love Witch to create a song that feels both timeless and distinctly dangerous.
At its heart, the track is a love story heading towards an inevitable crash. Beer captures the thrill of falling completely for someone while recognising that the relationship is becoming increasingly destructive. Rather than stepping away from the danger, the song embraces the tension of knowing that disaster is approaching and choosing to keep going regardless.
That sense of doomed romance runs through every aspect of Off The Tracks, with Beer creating a world of midnight glamour, reckless attraction and fatalistic desire. The song occupies the space between fantasy and reality, where love can feel exhilarating precisely because it has become impossible to control.
Produced by Tom Donovan and recorded in Colchester, the track pushes Beer’s cinematic songwriting into a darker and more seductive setting. Romance and chaos sit alongside one another throughout, reflecting the emotional contradiction at the centre of the song: the knowledge that something is going wrong while still being unwilling to apply the brakes.
The single’s visual identity reinforces that atmosphere. Photography by Alt Content — Mandy Morello draws on rebellious Hollywood icons and femme-fatale imagery, extending the song’s sense of fantasy and presenting Off The Tracks as another chapter in Beer’s carefully constructed visual universe.
The new release continues Beer’s development as an artist whose work exists across music, fashion and visual storytelling. Her dark-siren aesthetic has become central to her identity, with each release building a distinctive world around her songwriting rather than treating the music in isolation.
With Off The Tracks, that world becomes darker still. The song transforms romantic obsession into something cinematic and volatile, capturing the rush of surrendering to an attraction even when the destination is already clear.
