There have been some huge announcements for this year’s Glastonbury Festival this week with line-ups of the West Holts and Acoustic stages being announced following last week’s Glades and Shangri-La announcements.
Nick Lowe headlines the Acoustic Stage’s Friday night, bringing along his Quality Rock & Rock Revue following a massive day packed with sets from the likes of The Mavericks, Gabrielle Aplin, Lucy Rose and the Glastonbury Festival founder himself, Michael Eavis.
Saturday Night sees Hawkwind, Keane and Wet Wet Wet’s Marti Pellow hit the acoustic stage alongside Dire Straits man John Illsley and Irish Country music star. The stage is closed out on Sunday by two-time Grammy Award winner Rickie Lee Jones, Albert Hammond and Madeleine Peyroux.
Meanwhile over at the outdoor West Holts stage, the home of hip hop, electronica, soul, R&B, jazz, world music and more, the eclectic mix of Jon Hopkins, Jorja Smith and Maribou State are up on Friday.
Hardcore hip-hoppers Wu Tang Clan, soul collective Jungle and 90s hit-maker Neneh Cherry raise the stakes on Saturday before Janelle Monáe and Kamasi Washington follow Hollywood legend and jazz pianist Jeff Goldblum who brings his acclaimed Mildred Snitzer Orchestra to Worthy Farm.
