Hundred Reasons Announce Royal Albert Hall Show On 7th May To Be Their Last

by | Mar 4, 2025

Hundred Reasons have announced that their upcoming London show at the Royal Albert Hall will be their final ever headline performance as a band. Lead singer Colin Doran explains the decision: “This show was always on our bucket list so tying it in with 25 years of the band seemed like a great way to mark this milestone. But the more we planned for this show the more we started to feel that there wasn’t anything else that we wanted to do beyond this.

We released an amazing album in 2023 and had an awesome tour finishing at the Eventim Apollo. We have seen bands run themselves into the ground and it’s not something we’ve ever felt okay with. So with this in mind we have made the decision to make the show at The Royal Albert Hall our last ever headlining show, and to leave on a high. It’s gonna be a celebration of all things HR with some deep cuts and songs being rearranged, including a live string section, which is something properly new for us to do. It’s never easy to make these decisions but then the flip side is why not just leave a good looking corpse?” Opening the night are New York post-hardcore heroes Rival Schools.

In 2023 Hundred Reasons returned with their critically-acclaimed first new album in 15 years, Glorious Sunset on So Recordings, and a flurry of live activity not seen from the band since their early days. This culminated in their biggest ever London headliner at Hammersmith Apollo. 2025 will mark 25 years since the band’s first show and in celebration of this milestone, the band will take to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time on 7th May, bringing Rival Schools along for the ride.

As well as the new album in 2023, Hundred Reasons also released an official podcast, entitled Live Fast, Die Ugly: The Hundred Reasons Podcast. The four-part podcast series chronicles the band in their own words. From their first ever performance at Kingston’s The Peel on 22nd Jan 2000 all the way up to their 2023 reunion shows across the UK and new album. Live Fast, Die Ugly covers everything anyone could ever want to know about one of the UK’s all-time unsung juggernauts: the global tours, the fiercely loyal fanbase, the top 10 album chart breakthrough, the anomalous Top Of The Pops appearances, the disbandment, the reunion and everything in between. The full series of Live Fast, Die Ugly is available to listen to HERE.

Trent And Atticus Nine Inch Nail It At The O2 Arena

Every act craves that strong connection with their audience – but how do you achieve this in a cavernous space like The O2 Arena, filled to the brim with around 20,000 fans (all, naturally, dressed in black)? Well, in typical belligerent style, Nine Inch Nails meet this challenge head on – treating us to a set by turns poetic and punishing, and despite the odd technical hiccup, really delivering that all important connection.
