The Isle of Wight Festival 2026 has unveiled its headliners and first wave of artists, setting the stage for another unforgettable summer on the island. Taking place from 18th–21st June, the festival will see three contrasting yet equally monumental names top the bill: Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris, and The Cure. With such a diverse roster already announced, organisers are promising one of the most exciting editions in the festival’s long and storied history.

Three Distinct Headliners
Few artists embody the raw vulnerability and crowd-pleasing charm of Lewis Capaldi, who will headline the Friday night. Having recently stormed back onto the scene after a two-year hiatus, Capaldi wasted no time reclaiming his place at the top of the charts. His comeback single Survive became the fastest-selling track of 2025, while his soaring ballad Something In The Heavens marked his 10th UK Top 10 single. Fresh from a critically acclaimed 17-date UK arena run, Capaldi’s headline slot looks set to be a cathartic, emotional singalong for thousands.
On Saturday, the festival will flip into dance mode as Calvin Harris takes control. A global superstar and one of the most successful DJs of all time, Harris is no stranger to commanding festival crowds. Expect a high-energy set packed with megahits like We Found Love (with Rihanna), Feel So Close, and Giant (with Rag’n’Bone Man). His headline performance promises to transform Seaclose Park into the UK’s biggest open-air nightclub for one night only.
Closing the weekend on Sunday are gothic rock legends The Cure. For more than 45 years, Robert Smith and his band have been crafting a catalogue of iconic music, from early post-punk classics like A Forest and Boys Don’t Cry to timeless anthems like Just Like Heaven and the iconic Friday I’m In Love. Their recent album Songs of a Lost World (2024) proved they’re still capable of innovation, and their headline set will be one of the most hotly anticipated in the festival’s modern history.

A Stacked Supporting Bill
Beyond the headliners, Isle of Wight 2026 offers an eclectic line-up that celebrates both nostalgia and cutting-edge talent.
The Kooks, perennial indie favourites, will bring tracks from their recent Top 5 album Never/Know.
Homegrown heroes Wet Leg make their festival return following the release of their chart-topping sophomore album Moisteurizer.
US breakout star Teddy Swims, who made history with his single Lose Control spending over 100 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, makes his Isle of Wight debut.
Rick Astley and KT Tunstall add their unmistakable voices to the weekend, while Anastacia celebrates 25 years since her debut album.
Punk icons Sex Pistols, featuring Frank Carter, are set for a raucous Big Top appearance, guaranteed to be one of the weekend’s most talked-about sets.

Cult favourites Suzanne Vega and David Gray promise sets of lyrical depth and timeless songwriting.
And yes, FIVE are back, ready to bring pure ’90s nostalgia with Keep On Movin’, Everybody Get Up, and more.
Meanwhile, Tom Grennan will headline the festival’s Big Top stage, showcasing tracks from his latest UK Number One album Everywhere I Went, Led Me To Where I Didn’t Want To Be. Rising talent Luvcat, alongside Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems, will ensure the tent is buzzing throughout the weekend.
A Festival with Legacy
Festival director Caroline Giddings believes 2026 might be the Isle Of Wight’s strongest line-up to date. “It’s my favourite so far, at least,” she said. “We’re proud to put the future of music and current stars on a bill alongside artists like The Cure and the Sex Pistols, who helped lay the foundation of pop culture.”
Giddings also highlighted the Isle Of Wight’s deep artistic heritage, noting how the festival honours the island’s cultural history while pushing forward: “From Lewis Carroll and Tennyson to Julia Margaret Cameron, the island has been a source of inspiration for artists through time. We always try to honour that by presenting the very best music has to offer, giving people an unforgettable festival experience in the process.”
Looking Ahead
The Isle Of Wight Festival has always been more than just a music event. Since its legendary late-60s incarnations featuring Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, and The Who, it has evolved into a celebration of music’s past, present, and future. The 2026 edition looks set to continue that legacy, blending chart-toppers with underground favourites, indie icons with punk veterans, and emerging artists with enduring legends.
With more acts still to be announced, the full scale of the line-up is yet to be revealed—but tickets are already expected to move fast.
