Guitar virtuoso John Mayer has announced a European leg of his 2019 world tour, including UK and Ireland dates at London’s O2 Arena, Dublin’s 3Arena and the Manchester Arena this October. Following a fourth consecutive year touring North America with Dead & Company, featuring members of The Grateful Dead, the 41-year-old will return to the UK for the first time since a pair of O2 Arena shows in 2017 following the release of seventh studio album The Search For Everything. Read what went down on the second of those two shows over here.
While no eighth record has yet been announced, new songs New Light and I Guess I Just Feel Like are expected to feature on it whenever it drops.
Mayer’s The Search For Everything tour used the availability of bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan to recreate aspects of his 2007 live concert (and subsequent film and record) Where The Light Is – which featured a short acoustic set, a John Mayer Trio set along with Palladino & Jordan, and a rock set. So it’ll be interesting to see what treats the Gravity hit-maker has in store for us this time out.
Two pairs of front row tickets, each with a preshow meet & greet with John Mayer, will be auctioned off for every concert in Europe. All proceeds will go to benefit the Heart and Armor Foundation, Back to You Fund and other associated charities. Check HERE for more information.
