Written as what she describes as a raw cry for help, the song has evolved into one of her most powerful statements to date. Its impact is already resonating: Ignorance Is Bliss recently won a major music competition held in partnership with iHeartRadio and TikTok LIVE, underlining the growing momentum behind the rising artist.

“Whenever I have a moment to connect with my emotions, great art happens — like this song,” Kira explains. She cites influences including Radiohead and Billie Eilish, pointing to the track’s bold instrumental shifts and alternative edge. Cellist EMÆL contributes textured depth, while violinist Dan Adams further elevates the arrangement with sweeping, emotive flourishes.

The result is a song that foregrounds Kira’s expansive vocal range and layered production style. Though it sits outside the mainstream, ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’ firmly establishes the sonic direction she intends to pursue — emotionally rich, instrumentally ambitious and unafraid of vulnerability.

Kira has cultivated a substantial global following through livestreaming original material and covers, becoming one of TikTok LIVE’s top creators. She was recently nominated for Live Creator of the Year at the platform’s inaugural awards, appeared as a guest speaker at VidCon 2024, and performed at Reeperbahn Festival in Germany in collaboration with TikTok LIVE.

Her online success led to her first record deal with 3686 Records. To date, she has amassed more than 6.3 million likes on TikTok, over 731,000 followers across platforms and upwards of one million streams.
