by | Jul 14, 2023

Having just supported the mighty Guns N’ Roses in London at BST Hyde Park, storming the festival’s massive Great Oak Stage to a rapturous reception, Larkin Poe now announce the main support for their huge UK & Europe Tour this autumn will be Canadian rock band The Sheepdogs.

The tour represents the first opportunity for UK and European fans to see Larkin Poe headline shows in support of the critically acclaimed Blood Harmony album which was released at the end of last year. The record affirms the duo as an essential force in shaping the identity of Southern rock ‘n’ roll, breathing new energy into the genre with both forward-thinking perspective and a decidedly feminine strength.

Larkin Poe comment: “We’re so excited to have the Sheepdogs join us as support on our upcoming Fall UK & European tour! We’ve seen them rock before and can’t wait to have them kick off each night”.

The Sheepdogs frontman Ewan Currie says: “We’re thrilled to be hitting the road with Larkin Poe this fall and bringing the spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll to the good people of Europe.”

The tour sees Larkin Poe – the Georgia-bred, Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell – scaling up the size of many venues from their previous visit last year. In May 2022 they sold-out a London show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, a gig which featured a special surprise guest appearance from Keith Urban. This new tour will see them headline London’s significantly larger Roundhouse on 21st October.

Rebecca and Megan Lovell said: “UK & European music lovers, the time has come — LET’S MAKE A DATE TO ROCK!  We are so excited to be coming back to tour in support of our Blood Harmony album; go get your tickets now & we’ll see you in the autumn!”

Jeff Lynne Cancels Final ELO Show At BST Hyde Park 2025 Following Illness

In a heartbreaking development for fans, Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) have cancelled what was set to be their final ever UK performance at BST Hyde Park on Sunday 13 July 2025. The decision follows Lynne’s continued ill health and comes just days after the group’s second show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on 10th July was pulled moments before showtime, after the venue had already filled with fans. Lynne, 77, has been battling a systemic infection and is now under close medical supervision.

Following a weather-disrupted opening set by Amber Mark — whose performance was cut short by a torrential downpour — Dean arrived as the skies cleared, bringing poise, polish, and powerful vocals to a crowd that refused to let a bit of British summer rain dampen their spirits.

Clairo @ BST Hyde Park 2025 (Kalpesh Patel)

Clairo Brings Soft Focus And Dreamy Intimacy To The Great Oak Stage At BST Hyde Park 2025

In the golden lull between a dramatic afternoon downpour and Sabrina Carpenter’s headline pop spectacle, Clairo turned London’s Great Oak Stage into a sanctuary of softness and reflection. Her early evening performance at BST Hyde Park on Sunday 6th July offered a tender contrast to the festival’s typically high-energy crescendo, inviting the crowd into a quieter, more introspective space.
