Don Broco kicked off their final night on their first headline tour at the Roundhouse in London. Sara Jenkins went along to review and photograph. Stepping out on stage to a loud and enthusiastic London greeting hey opened with You Wanna Know. Jumping straight in at the deep end with their new single it warmed the crowd up ready for songs such as Whole Truth and Back In The Day where a wave of crowd surfers spilled over the front barrier. The evening was filled with getting everyone involved, sharing the chorus of Yeah Man the audience sang their hearts at back to the boys from Bedford.

The high tempo set was upheld by the high kicking duo Simon Delany and Tom Doyle not standing still for an instant their performance only livened the mood even more. Lead singer Rob Damiani managed to be all over the stage throughout the night though favouring to stand on his perch at the front for most of the time. With all this visual performing going on it would have been easy to forget about Matt Donnelly on the drums if it wasn’t for the fact that he was raised on a platform giving it his all as well.

The setlist consisted of songs throughout their years ranging from their debut album Priorities as well as older material from their Big fat smile EP. Three of the band took to standing on the front railings to conduct a beautifully hectic wall of death. Crutches were flying and the mood in the room managed to soar higher than before to create an audience that ‘set new highs’ and even rivalled those at their Reading and Leeds festivals appearances.

An encore of Hold On with a a slower intro was played followed by Beautiful Morning and ending on the popular Priorities. Ending like this only left the room wanting more but after that lively set I don’t know how much extra they could have coped with. The band ended here and reminded us again of the brilliant performance they put on and left us hoping they will be back with new material again soon.
