British singer-songwriter LLORÉN has released new single Take Me Away, offering the first glimpse into her most ambitious project to date, the forthcoming album Love Is Alien (To Me). The track introduces Chapter 1: Planning The Escape, the first instalment of an expansive three-chapter narrative, due for release on 9th December.
Blending cinematic, retro-modern pop with an imaginative science-fiction concept, Love Is Alien (To Me) uses an intergalactic love story to explore deeply human experiences, including love and heartbreak, family, birth and death, travel and belonging. Each song is designed to stand alone while contributing to a much larger story, bringing together LLORÉN’s flair for cinematic songwriting and ambitious storytelling.
Take Me Away opens the first chapter with flamboyant theatricality, pairing LLORÉN’s powerful, yearning vocals and soaring hooks with thunderous beats and dramatic sonic contrasts. Its central question is both playful and intriguing: could other forms of life and love exist on planets far beyond the world we know?
The single sets the scene for a story in which LLORÉN leaves Earth in search of a different kind of love, with the next stages of the journey set to unfold as subsequent chapters arrive.
Speaking about the track, LLORÉN says: “I think we’ve all wanted to eject ourselves from the planet at some point or another, the question remains, would whatever’s out there be better than this? Take Me Away is fun, it’s romantic, and it’s silly, but in a ‘this isn’t all that silly’ kind of way!”
LLORÉN wrote and produced Take Me Away alongside Anna Schulze, whose previous work includes collaborations with Gin Wigmore and Ingrid Michaelson.
The upcoming album marks a significant new chapter for the British artist, whose cinematic pop has already found its way into television shows including Grey’s Anatomy, Sullivan’s Crossing, The L Word and both the UK and US versions of Love Island and The Traitors. Her music has also featured across Netflix, Disney and HBO Max productions, as well as in campaigns for T-Mobile and Kay Jewelers in the US.
Previous releases include her debut album It’s Always Sunny In LA and the two-volume EP Lovesick. Her songwriting and distinctive sound have helped establish her as an artist capable of balancing atmospheric production with emotionally direct pop, while her music has received radio airplay from BBC Radio 2, Radio X, Amazing Radio and BBC Radio London.
Her live performances have included appearances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the Isle of Wight Festival and Pride events in London and Manchester, alongside shows with Fleurie, Johannes Oerding and Michael Patrick Kelly.
With Take Me Away, LLORÉN begins a new creative journey that stretches beyond conventional pop storytelling, inviting listeners into a fictional universe built around familiar questions of love, connection and whether somewhere else might offer the chance of a different life.
