Loyle Carner Releases New Track You Don’t Know With Rebel Kleff and Kiko Bun

by | Jan 21, 2019

Loyle Carner has released new track You Don’t Know featuring Rebel Kleff and Kiko Bun, with accompanying video via AMF Records.

Following the phenomenal success of 2017’s Mercury nominated album Yesterday’s Gone, which delighted fans and critics alike, Loyle is ready to set 2019 alight with the release of his new tune. The video was directed by Louis Bhose and stars Loyle and his mum Jean, as well as Rebel Kleff and Benjamin Zephaniah.

Revered for his introspective, poetic lyrics and clever delivery, new tune You Don’t Know captures the feeling of being young and losing faith in love. It’s brought effortlessly to life with Loyle, rapper Rebel Kleff and reggae artist Kiko Bun’s unique style.

Loyle delivers the lyrics with razor-sharp articulation and organic cadence and flow. “Now I only make love if I’m in love. You wasn’t in love then what you think love. Thinking imma hold you on the brink until we sink, what? Fade like a barber, Rather have another drink love”. Rebel Kleff’s boom-bap production, Kiko’s gentle sun-washed reggae tones and the ‘You Don’t Know’ hook will have you nodding along and playing the track on repeat.

The track follows Loyle’s incredible comeback single Ottolenghi which featured on the BBC Radio 1 B-list and BBC 6 Music A-list and has already been streamed over 5 million times. The video had a cameo from chef, restaurant owner and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi.

South London’s Loyle made his recording debut with the EP A Little Late back in 2014, generating hype among alternative hip-hop lovers and swiftly building a loyal fan base. His debut full-length Yesterday’s Gone earned him a Mercury Prize nomination and BRIT award for Best Male  Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and remains an ageless, bulletproof debut.

Since the release of his debut album, Loyle has achieved a lot by anyone’s standards. He’s toured the world, started a cooking school for kids with ADHD, created an award winning, bespoke rap for the Champions League final, campaigned for men’s mental health and fronted a worldwide YSL campaign.

Loyle’s 2019 spring tour, including a gig at London’s Roundhouse, sold out within 20 minutes of being sale. Join the ride to see where else this prodigiously gifted voice of a generation can take us…

Good Grief, Bastille Show No Bad Blood At The O2 Arena

Tonight was a night of reflection. Of celebration. Fifteen years in, Bastille sound as good, and appeal to more people than ever. Amy Macdonald Warms A Frozen Hammersmith Apollo With Heart, Humour & Huge Hits

“Are we having a nice time so far? Are we getting a bit warmer?” Amy Macdonald grins, peering out at a Hammersmith Apollo audience bundled into coats and scarves. It’s a question that becomes a running joke throughout the night — because despite the November chill and the decidedly frugal heating, Macdonald sets about warming the 5,000-capacity venue the only way she knows how: with humour, heart, and a powerhouse performance that leaves no seat unshaken.

Never Mind A Wet Night In Stoke, Bad Nerves Made The Best Of A Cold Tuesday Night At The O2 Institute Birmingham

Bad Nerves rolled into theBad Nerves tonight armed with a setlist built for chaos, and although the room was a little quieter than expected, the people who were there lit the place up. A smaller Tuesday night crowd didn’t dull the spark – instead it made the gig feel like a secret show shared only between the band and the diehards. And the band fed off it.
