A swaggering, self-assured alt-pop anthem, Done With U sees the 22-year-old artist channelling the moment you finally cut ties with someone who’s pushed you too far. Whether aimed at a partner, a friend, or a boss, the track is a rallying cry for walking away from relationships that sap your time, energy and emotion. Built on punchy beats, heavy bass and an earworm synth hook, the single underlines Mae’s growing reputation for fearless, emotionally forthright pop.

Mae explains: “It’s only up to you to decide if a relationship is worth your effort, time and emotions. Done With U is a strong reminder of that. You don’t have to tolerate it let alone bring yourself to that level… you simply have to be ‘done with it’.” The single was written with BRIT-nominated hitmakers Billen Ted, known for their work with Becky Hill, Joel Corry and Wes Nelson.

Accompanying the track is a playful video directed by Willow Hazel, in which Mae stars as a deadpan judge on a chaotic TV talent show. A bodybuilder, an acrobat with hazardous ideas and even a horse-human hybrid attempt to impress her – but it’s the understated floor manager, trying to keep the production together, who ultimately catches her attention.

The new release marks the latest chapter in an already remarkable journey. After being bullied at school for her neurodivergences and working customer service shifts at ASDA, Mae began releasing music independently, earning early traction with Infamous Kiss and White Lies. Her life changed overnight when If We Ever Broke Up exploded globally, topping charts in Japan and China, hitting the UK Top 15, going Gold in both the UK and US, and amassing nearly 400 million streams. High-profile collaborations followed, along with major live appearances with BLACKPINK, P!NK and Tom Grennan.

Her debut EP Securely Insecure showcased her candour and creative curiosity, while tracks like Out Of The Shadows found new audiences after featuring in the remake of cult gaming title Until Dawn. More recent singles Woah Man! and Tiny Voice continued to expand her sonic world.

Now Mae is taking the next step with her first headline tour, developed in partnership with Music Venue Trust and Pure, spotlighting grassroots spaces across the UK. “I’m partnering with Music Venue Trust to finally bring you guys a tour!!” she says. “I’ve wanted this for so long as I have so much music to show y’all! Throughout the tour there will be unreleased tracks dropping in, so if you wanna hear new music or sing along to the old ones… book a date, bring a mate, and come join me on my first ever tourrrrrr!!!!”
