Multi-platinum country star Megan Moroney has unveiled her highly anticipated third studio album, Cloud 9, out now via Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records.
The 15-track collection marks Moroney’s most self-assured songwriting to date, capturing the full spectrum of her personality — from sharp-tongued wit to wide-eyed romanticism. Among its highlights are the Gold-certified Country radio No. 1 6 Months Later, Billboard Hot 100-charting hit Beautiful Things, the anthemic Wish I Didn’t, and the album’s soaring title track.
Cloud 9 also sees Moroney joined by two major collaborators: global superstar Ed Sheeran features on I Only Miss You, while country luminary Kacey Musgraves appears on Bells & Whistles. Fan favourite Wedding Dress — which gained viral traction after Moroney first teased it online — finally receives an official release, alongside the fiery and fearless Medicine, one of the record’s most biting moments.
Produced primarily by Kristian Bush, the album showcases Moroney’s continued evolution as both writer and performer. Tracks such as Medicine highlight her spitfire humour and emotional clarity, flipping heartbreak into empowerment with razor-sharp lyricism and honky-tonk swagger.
To celebrate the album’s arrival, Moroney launches 9 Cities. 9 Days. — a run of intimate fan events across the U.S., giving audiences a rare chance to see her perform selections from the album in close-up settings.
Cloud 9 follows 2024’s Gold-certified Am I Okay?, a breakout era that propelled the Georgia-born artist into arena-headlining territory and cemented her as one of country music’s most compelling new voices. With more than 4.8 billion global streams to her name and multiple chart-topping hits including Tennessee Orange, Moroney continues her meteoric rise with an album that feels both expansive and deeply personal.
The record is available digitally and across three vinyl variants, including a special Songwriter’s Edition featuring the tracklist sequenced chronologically by writing date.
