In need of some “rock’n’roll salvation through the spirit of roots and blues”? You probably do, and this is how frontman Brian Hurd describes the style of Daddy Long Legs.

Already two albums down the road the trio formed by Brian Hurd (vocals, harmonica, guitar), Murat Akturk (slide guitar) and Josh Styles (drums, maraca) are ready to embark on a UK/Ireland and European tour with their new record Low Down Ways in their luggage.

Known for hymns like Blood From A Stone, Evil Eye and DeathTrain Blues, amongst other delta blues gems, Daddy Long Legs are taking one step further and their third album is a promising mix of hollers, cajun, gospel and Mississippi blues we can’t wait to discover on stage!

Produced by Jimmy Sutton and engineered by Alex Hall (JD McPherson, Pokey LaFarge, Jake La Botz) in Chicago, the album is made of 12 original compositions with contributions from JD McPherson and Jimmy Sutton.

The release is planned for May 10th and it will be on Yep Roc Records. But two singles have already been let out the bag : Mornin’ Noon And Nite and Glad Rag Ball are both available on all streaming platforms.

Think of John Lee Hooker on acid, Captain Beefheart, MC5, Howlin’ Wolf and the Rolling Stones. Excited? Have a look at their tour dates below. Rockshot will be present at Le Beat Bespoke festival at Venue 229 (Great Portland Street, London) on April 19th and we are looking forward to having a chat with the band about their new record!
