Otherkin Up Close & Personal

by | Oct 16, 2017

The garage rockers, Otherkin, continue to tear through 2017, setting stages alight with their own brand of adrenaline-pumping joyful chaos. Championed by Metallica’s Lars Ulrich on his Beats1 radio show and having completed three UK tours this year – one headline, one with The Amazons and a third with punk legends the Dead Kennedys.

Otherkin are one of the most fun, gritty and absorbing new live acts around. They are always determined to put on a real show for you, often including stage diving, crowd surfing and lots of jumping around in general…oh and sweat!

Their songs are raw garage but they can certainly hold a tune too. Great musicians and showmanship.

Fresh from entering the Irish album charts at #2 with their debut OK long player, and opening for INHEAVEN on their UK dates; Lars Ulrich-endorsed Irish garage-rockers Otherkin have announced a new batch of pre-Christmas shows in England and Scotland.

OK was recorded in Ireland with David Prendergast, Jason Boland and the band at the controls, while the tracks were mixed in London by Jolyon Thomas, best known for his work with Slaves and Royal Blood. Showing real commitment to their art, singer Luke and drummer Rob both had fresh OK tattoos committed to flesh for the album artwork. There’s no going back now!

A powerful slice of garage punk attitude, Come On, Hello was released as a single on September 1st.

Few bands embrace spectacle with the conviction and ambition of Sabaton, and their latest live performance proves once again that the Swedish power-metal titans have elevated historical storytelling into an art form all its own. From Dive Bars To The Dome: Wolf Alice’s Homecoming At The O2 Is A Career-Defining Triumph

There was a crackle in the air before Wolf Alice even stepped onstage, the kind of charged, anticipatory energy that only comes when a band returns to the city that made them.
