Avant-garde rock trio Palaye Royale announce their sixth studio album Amsterdamage, set for release on 22nd January via Sumerian Records, alongside a major international tour that will take the band across the UK, Europe and North America throughout 2027.
The announcement arrives with Lost In Translation, the first track to be taken from the forthcoming record. A limited-edition version of Amsterdamage will also feature the bonus track The Unholy One.
Formed in 2008, Palaye Royale – brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig and Emerson Barrett – have built a global following through their theatrical approach to rock and an ever-expanding catalogue that has now surpassed one billion streams. The new album represents a particularly significant chapter for the trio, emerging from a period of profound personal loss as well as relentless touring.
In 2024, the brothers lost their mother, Stephanie Rachel, to cancer. As their biggest champion and the person who first instilled in them the belief that art could never be taken away, her death had a profound impact on the family and the band.
Emerson Barrett describes Amsterdamage as the record that helped bring the brothers back together following that loss, explaining that without the album they may have gone their separate ways. The creative process became a way for them to reconnect as individuals, brothers and partners, ultimately turning grief into something that could keep them moving forward.
Written throughout 2025 amid an intense touring schedule, Amsterdamage takes shape across a variety of locations, from the coastline of San Diego to the Netherlands, before being completed at Chris Greatti’s studio in Los Angeles.
The album’s first taste, Lost In Translation, draws directly from the music that shaped the brothers, with Remington Leith describing the track as a nostalgic return to the mid-2000s British rock bands they grew up listening to. The song combines an upbeat, live-ready energy with lyrics centred on perseverance – whether fighting to make a dream work or attempting to save a relationship when something continues to stand in the way.
The track sets the tone for a record born from both movement and reflection, with Palaye Royale once again bringing together their dramatic instincts and rock foundations.
The new album also arrives during the latest stage of the band’s relationship with UK-based Expectation Management, adding another chapter to an international campaign that will see the trio return to some of their biggest venues to date.
The accompanying Amsterdamage Tour spans more than 30 announced dates, beginning in Warsaw in March and travelling through major European cities before heading to the UK and Ireland. The band will play Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin before reaching London for a headline performance at OVO Arena Wembley on 3rd April.
The North American leg begins in Dallas on 18th April before moving through cities including Orlando, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco. The tour then culminates in a run of Los Angeles shows taking in The Castro, El Rey, The Roxy, The Viper Room and The Fonda Theatre.
Fans who pre-order Amsterdamage through the Sumerian Records store between 1pm on Friday and 5pm on Monday UK time will receive access to the tour ticket presale from Tuesday. General ticket sales begin at 10am local time on Friday 9th October.
With Lost In Translation now available and Amsterdamage set for January, Palaye Royale enter their next era with a record shaped by grief, brotherhood, creativity and the determination to keep moving forward.
