Razorlight are set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum second album, Razorlight, with an extensive run of UK and European dates in autumn and winter 2026. The tour will see the band’s classic line-up perform the 2006 record in full, revisiting the songs that propelled them to the forefront of British indie rock.
Released in 2006, Razorlight became a defining album of its era, topping the UK Albums Chart and achieving five-times-platinum status. The record delivered some of the band’s most enduring hits, including In The Morning, Before I Fall To Pieces and America, which reached Number One on the UK Singles Chart. Two decades later, its combination of sharp guitar hooks, restless energy and anthemic songwriting continues to connect with audiences across generations.
Fronted by Johnny Borrell, Razorlight will revisit the album’s 12-track-era sound, bringing its best-known singles together with deeper cuts including Hold On, Who Needs Love and Kirby’s House, alongside I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got. The anniversary shows promise a celebration of the record in its entirety, offering longtime fans the chance to rediscover its less frequently performed moments as well as its defining singles.
Reflecting on the writing process behind the album, Borrell recalls how the strength of the material became apparent even before its release. “The album itself started to sound like a greatest hits. That’s when you know you’re alright,” he says.
He also remembers the creative connection he shared with co-songwriter and drummer Andy Burrows during the period. “Me and Andy fell into this groove of writing, just this amazing musical connection. When you do that, it’s like falling in love; it’s just this sort of mutual intoxication and we just couldn’t stop writing.”
That partnership is central to the story of Razorlight, whose classic line-up has since reunited following a period of personal and professional upheaval. Their recent touring cycle, supporting the best-of compilation Razorwhat? The Best Of Razorlight, marked a renewed sense of unity, with Borrell and Burrows rebuilding their creative relationship and reconnecting with audiences on stage.
The anniversary tour builds on that momentum, celebrating the music that established the band as one of the defining British guitar acts of the mid-2000s. Following the success of Razorlight, the group continued their commercial run with the platinum-selling album Slipway Fires, which featured Wire To Wire, a Top Three hit in Germany and Austria.
Their wider catalogue includes a UK Number One album, a Number One single, three UK Top Five albums, two multi-platinum records and eight UK Top 20 singles. The band’s appeal has also extended to a new generation of listeners, with Razorlight continuing to attract more than 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners.
The tour begins with European dates in October before moving to the UK in late November. The British leg opens at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 26th November, followed by Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester. On 4th December, the band will play OVO Arena Wembley in London, with the show set to celebrate British guitar music through a three-band bill featuring The Molotovs and The K’s.
London punk-inspired brother-and-sister duo The Molotovs will provide support across the UK dates, arriving after a successful run of shows and a UK Number Three album. The K’s will also join the European leg, adding further momentum to a tour built around the enduring appeal of British guitar music.
Following the UK dates, Razorlight return to the Netherlands before concluding the tour with shows in Belfast and Dublin on 13th and 14th December respectively.
