Following previous opeing slots with Fender, British alternative rock band Wunderhorse will join once more Fender as special guests on all UK stadium dates.
The announcement follows a remarkable period for Sam Fender, whose third album, People Watching, was released in 2025 through Polydor Records. The record debuted at Number One in the UK and went on to win the 2025 Mercury Prize, further cementing Fender’s position as one of the UK’s leading contemporary singer-songwriters.
His achievements since the album’s release have included BRIT Award recognition and an Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year, reflecting the continued impact of his songwriting and the growing scale of his live performances.
One of the defining moments of the People Watching era has been Rein Me In, his duet with Olivia Dean. Fender debuted the song alongside Dean at his London Stadium show in June 2025, performing to a crowd of more than 80,000 before the duet was released later that month.
The track gained extraordinary momentum during 2026, spending a record-breaking 23 non-consecutive weeks at Number One in the UK, making it the longest-running Number One single in British chart history. It also won the BRIT Award for Song of the Year and topped the Irish singles chart for 18 weeks, equalling the record for the longest-running Number One in Ireland.
With the new stadium dates, Fender is set to bring his catalogue to some of the largest audiences of his career, including two nights at Wembley Stadium that mark a significant milestone for the Newcastle-born artist. The run also gives fans across the UK and Ireland the opportunity to see him perform live before he takes his latest era onto the European festival stage.
