Of the tour, Wener says: “Inbetweener is where it all started for us – our first hit single – and we can’t wait to head back on tour to mark the 30th anniversary. Sleeper gigs are a joyful experience, and this tour will be especially celebratory; mixing songs from our entire back catalogue as we head into something completely new.”

Kicking off on 25th September at Cardiff’s Tramshed, the tour will stop at London’s Electric Ballroom for two nights in October before concluding in Wener’s home town of Brighton on 18th September.

Greatest hits from the Britpop quartet’s back catalogue are sure to include Sale Of The Century and What Do I Do Now? from smash hit sophomore LP The It Girl alongside more from Smart, such as Delicious and Vegas.

Louise Wener and guitarist Jon Stewart met while students at Manchester University and went on to form Sleeper in London in 1992, recruiting drummer Andy Maclure and bassist Diid Osman. Riding the wave of Britpop, they disbanded in 1998 the year following the release of third LP Pleased To Meet You. The quartet went on to reform without Osman in 2017 to play shows as part of the Britpop-celebrating Star Shaped Festival. They’ve gone on to continue touring, bringing bassist Kieron Pepper into the fold.
