A brand new multi-venue festival is set to land in Liverpool this spring as So Long, Good Friday unveils its full line-up for the inaugural event taking place on 3rd April.
Presented by The Good Times and HSP, the all-day showcase will take over several venues across the city’s Baltic Triangle district, with Fat Dog headlining a stacked bill of rising alternative acts.
Among the newly announced artists are Birmingham noise-rock duo GANS and Brighton jazz-punk collective Opus Kink, both known for their explosive live performances. They join an eclectic line-up spanning indie, punk, electronic and experimental sounds, reflecting the festival’s aim of championing some of the most exciting emerging artists currently touring the UK circuit.
Also joining the bill are electro-punk newcomers My First Time, East London psychedelic outfit Roscoe Roscoe and Manchester’s self-described “Gub Rock” band Mleko. Further additions include East Exchange, Gravy, Hank Bee, Miles Temp and Sunda Blue.
The second wave announcement builds on an already diverse first reveal, which featured South London trio Honeyglaze, Chicago indie outfit Brigitte Calls Me Baby, Halifax-formed art-pop group The Orielles, alt-rock rising star TTSSFU and Manchester electronic duo Silverwingkiller.
The event will unfold across four venues within the Baltic Triangle — Hangar 34, District, 24 Kitchen Street and Camp and Furnace — all located within walking distance of each other.
Festival organisers say the aim is to highlight cutting-edge new artists while keeping the event affordable and accessible for fans eager to discover emerging talent. Early bird tickets have already sold out, with the festival now on its second ticket release.
With an ambitious, genre-blurring programme and a focus on the thriving grassroots live scene, So Long, Good Friday looks set to become a new fixture in Liverpool’s spring music calendar.
