American husband-and-wife duo The Grahams have released the deluxe edition of their acclaimed album The Bridge, expanding the deeply personal record with new music and fresh visuals as they prepare to return to the UK for a headline tour this month.
Comprised of lifelong partners Alyssa and Doug Graham, the duo built The Bridge around some of their most intimate songwriting to date, reflecting on themes of memory, illness, identity and the passage of time. The newly released deluxe edition continues that exploration, adding new material alongside the album’s existing tracks.
Coinciding with the expanded release is the video for Georgette, a touching tribute to the couple’s seven-year-old daughter. The song captures the wonder and uncertainty of parenthood, focusing on the possibilities of who a child might become in the future. Georgette herself appears in the video as both a silhouette and in close-up shots, while a second adult figure imagines the adventures that lie ahead in her life. Shot with a grainy Super-8 aesthetic, the clip leans into nostalgia for a future yet to unfold.
Speaking about the video, Alyssa Graham explained: “It’s hard to get a seven-year-old to lip sync, even if she is an extrovert. We wanted our daughter Georgette to be part of the video but also wanted to protect her privacy and honour her sense of mystery. The concept for the video is to imagine who she will become knowing the little bit we know about her in seven years. The possibilities are endless.”
The deluxe edition of The Bridge also introduces two brand new tracks: Nobody Stays and Beyond This Lifetime. The piano-led Americana ballad Nobody Stays reflects on the impermanence that threads through life, touching on loss, change and the emotional pull of places and people left behind. Meanwhile, Beyond This Lifetime explores the idea that love can endure far beyond the limits of our time.
The expanded release arrives as The Grahams prepare to bring the songs from The Bridge to audiences across the UK. Joined by their full live band, the pair promise a set that blends the new material with older favourites and the storytelling that has become a hallmark of their performances.
