Nashville-based duo The Grahams have unveiled their new single Worst Parts Of Me, taken from the forthcoming deluxe edition of their recent album The Bridge, set for release on 6th March.
Formed by lifelong partners Alyssa and Doug Graham, The Grahams’ story stretches back to childhood, evolving into a creative partnership that has seen them build both an accomplished recording career and their 3Sirens Music Group in Nashville. With The Bridge, however, the duo pivot inward, delivering their most personal body of work to date — a theme that continues with Worst Parts Of Me.
Playful yet poignant, the new single captures the reality that long-term love is shaped as much by navigating challenges as it is by celebrating the highs. Lush vocal harmonies and warm piano melodies — recalling the golden age of singer-songwriter pop — provide a glowing backdrop to lyrics rooted in hard-won honesty.
Alyssa Graham reflects: “After three decades of a love affair and partnership, people always ask us our ‘secret’. For years we claimed our rare success was attributed to having no children. ‘Don’t have kids,’ we would joke. Upon further reflection we now understand our secret is deeper than that. To truly love someone in this life and beyond you need to love not only the best but the worst parts of them.”
The sentiment lands with gentle irony given that the couple are proud parents to a daughter, who inspired previous single Georgette. Together, the two tracks signal an evolution in The Grahams’ songwriting. Earlier releases leaned into travelogue storytelling and character sketches inspired by life on the road; The Bridge instead delves into intensely personal reflections that had previously remained unspoken.
The deluxe edition of The Bridge expands that vision further, adding two brand new songs from the original studio sessions alongside a new edit of ‘Georgette’.
The album was largely written with GRAMMY®-nominated producer Dex Green, known for his work with Elvis Costello, as well as collaborations with fellow GRAMMY® nominee Aaron Lee Tasjan and songwriter Kate York. A stellar cast of musicians contribute to the record, including drummer Matt Chamberlain, bassist Sebastian Steinberg and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Warren, among others.
With the deluxe edition imminent, The Grahams are preparing to bring The Bridge to UK audiences for the first time with a headline tour next month.
