Vision Premiere: Lit FM, Things Ain’t Been The Same.

by | Sep 1, 2016

London based band Lit FM have created a provocative video to accompany their song Things Ain’t Been The Same. It is a concept piece where Donald Trump has won Presidency, and all these terrible, worst-that-can-happen things have happened. A snapshot from the future, if you will.

Lit FM are a 10 piece funk/soul fusion band based in South London and featuring musicians from across the world, half of whom live together in a pokey house in Streatham.

Initially a jam band, their sound was influenced by the American jazz-funk and soul of the 60s and 70s, later synergized with elements of hip-hop, dub, jungle and psychedelic rock.

The result is a musical spectrum which weaves sparkles of many different styles into a rich tapestry of constantly evolving groove, timbre and melody, always with thought provoking messages, and fronted by award winning Polish jazz singer and pianist Karolina Micor and a unique 4-piece horn section.

There are moments of Portishead blended with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin with brass and female vocals and King Tubby meets Parliament, whilst always remaining undeniably Lit FM.

Their first short album is out in October this year, to be available to download on www.litfm.bandcamp.com, or free listening on www.soundcloud.com/lit-fm.
