Wild Rivers Invite You To Cave In

by | Mar 23, 2024

Platinum indie-trio Wild Rivers have shared their latest single, Cave, a driving alt-pop track that layers elements of blues and rock under smooth vocal harmonies. The track was co-written with pop production duo myriot (Aurora, IDER, Halsey), Jarrad Kritzstein (Ruston Kelly, Elohim), and Kate York (Little Big Town, Nashville).

The band explain: “This song is about having no self-control in a relationship that you know isn’t good for you. You tell someone that you’re absolutely done, but everybody knows it isn’t true. You’re more than ready to abandon your self-respect and go back to the person.”

Cave is the second new offering from the group in 2024, following Everywhere I Go, their first single in over a year, which was co-written with Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Alex Benjamin, Selena Gomez) and Brett Truitt (Banners, Shoffy). The new songs follow a February tour supporting Grammy-nominated artist Noah Kahan on his sold-out UK/EU run. Kahan, a personal fan of the band, hand-picked the group for the dates. Following the support run, the band announced a headline UK/European tour this November that will start in Berlin on 4th November and include stops in Paris, Glasgow, Berlin, London, and more.

Wild Rivers is comprised of Khalid Yassein (guitar, vocals, keys), Devan Glover (vocals), and Andrew Oliver (lead guitar, synths). Since their 2022 album, Sidelines, which landed at #9 on the U.S. Spotify Debut Album Chart, they have supported The Chicks on their North American tour, sold-out headline North American and European runs, earned over 700 million streams with 4 million monthly listeners and were nominated for Breakthrough Group Of The Year at the 2023 JUNO Awards. Their 2020 break-out single Thinking ‘Bout Love has been certified Gold in Australia and Platinum in their home Country of Canada.

To further expand their sonic horizons, Wild Rivers have been co-writing with Sasha Sloan (Camila Cabello, Charlie XCX, Katy Perry, John Legend) and working with Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Kurt Vile, Adrienne Lenker, Jeremy Zucker) on new music. Building an authentic relationship with fans while channeling classic singer-songwriters and contemporary artists like Samia, Holly Humberstone, and Noah Kahan has been vital to Wild Rivers’ connection with audiences.
