After more than a decade away from the studio, Aerosmith have returned in the most unexpected way possible—by teaming up with one of modern rock’s loudest, boldest voices: Yungblud. The result is One More Time, a collaborative EP due 21st November 2025 via Capitol Records, that fuses Aerosmith’s legendary swagger with Yungblud’s raw, boundary-pushing energy
The project marks Aerosmith’s first new music in 12 years, but this isn’t a nostalgia exercise. Instead, One More Time finds Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, and Tom Hamilton locking into a new groove with 28-year-old Yungblud (aka Dominic Harrison). The collaboration is both unlikely and natural: Aerosmith’s roots in fiery, blues-infused hard rock meet Yungblud’s genre-smashing punk spirit head-on.
What began as a planned guest spot on a new version of the epic Hello Heaven, Hello quickly spiralled into a writing session that refused to end. Chemistry sparked, songs tumbled out, and suddenly a full five-track EP was on the cards. “It was just meant to be one song,” Yungblud explains, “but the second we were in a room together, it felt like a band. It felt like family.”
Out now, lead single My Only Angel showcases the unlikely partnership in full force. Opening with Tyler’s unmistakable a cappella cry—“Will you cry, if I called you my angel? Would you leave me one more time?”—the track unfolds into a haunting swirl of echoing guitars, rumbling bass, soft piano, and soaring harmonies. Yungblud and Tyler’s voices lock together in a hypnotic refrain, their interplay punctuated by a blistering Joe Perry solo that reminds everyone why Aerosmith remain rock’s gold standard.
The accompanying visual captures the same tension and release: youthful chaos colliding with veteran gravitas, finding common ground in pure, unfiltered rock ‘n’ roll.
Produced by Matt Schwartz, One More Time also features contributions from former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, lending his signature firepower to the sessions. Across its five tracks—including four brand-new originals co-written by the band and Yungblud, plus a ferocious 2025 remix of Back In The Saddle—the EP swings between anthemic choruses, sleazy riffs, and moments of real vulnerability.
“It’s not about Aerosmith featuring Yungblud, or Yungblud featuring Aerosmith,” says Joe Perry. “It’s just about the songs. We pushed each other in ways that feel fresh, but it still sounds like us.”
Adding to the EP’s sense of occasion, the artwork comes courtesy of Chrome Hearts’ Joe Foti, marking the first time the luxury fashion house has lent its design chops to a music release. The limited-edition vinyl promises to be as collectible as it is striking, further cementing One More Time as a landmark moment.
For Aerosmith, who boast more than 150 million albums sold and a catalogue of timeless hits like Dream On, Janie’s Got a Gun, and I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, this record is about refusing to stand still, following Steven Tyler giving up touring following vocal cord damage. For Yungblud, whose arena tours and No.1 albums have cemented him as one of the UK’s most vital voices, it’s about channeling the spirit of his heroes into something new.
The two acts proved their chemistry earlier this month with a thunderous joint performance at the 2025 MTV VMAs, whetting appetites for what’s to come.
With One More Time, Aerosmith prove that after 55 years, they’re still hungry, still restless, and still willing to take risks. And for Yungblud, it’s the ultimate validation: an invitation to stand shoulder to shoulder with the legends who paved the way.
