Aerosmith Return To The Stage For Two Star Studded Hollywood Bowl Shows

by | Oct 8, 2026

Aerosmith are set to return to the stage for two special Los Angeles performances this autumn, with the legendary rock band announcing California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends at the Hollywood Bowl on 29 October and 1 November 2026.

The two-night celebration marks a major return for the band after they announced their retirement from touring in 2024. The concerts will bring together Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer for what promises to be a spectacular celebration of the band’s five-decade legacy.

Rather than a conventional comeback tour, California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends will be a pair of unique, guest-filled performances, with an extraordinary roster of rock legends and contemporary artists joining Aerosmith across the two nights.

Confirmed guests include The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Jerry Cantrell, Marcus King, Mike Inez, Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Monahan, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Steve Stevens, Sully Erna, Tom Morello, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed, Don Was and Kenny Aronoff, with further artists and surprise appearances still to be announced. The lineup will vary between the two nights, with final combinations confirmed closer to showtime.

The concerts are expected to draw heavily from Aerosmith‘s vast catalogue, spanning the band’s blues-rock beginnings through to the arena anthems that made them one of America’s defining rock acts. Songs including Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Janie’s Got A Gun, Crazy, Cryin’ and I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing are among the classics associated with the celebration.

The timing also comes during a significant period for Aerosmith, who have spent 2026 revisiting the earliest chapter of their career. In March, the band released Aerosmith (Legendary Edition), a substantial reworking and expansion of their 1973 self-titled debut album. The collection features remastered and remixed versions of the original record, a live performance recorded at Paul’s Mall in 1973 and previously unheard studio material.

The Hollywood Bowl shows follow a turbulent period for the band. Aerosmith had announced their retirement from touring after frontman Steven Tyler suffered a larynx injury during their 2023 farewell tour, with the injury ultimately preventing the band from completing the run. Tyler has nevertheless made occasional appearances since, including performances alongside Joe Perry and other artists.

The return also follows the band’s 2025 collaboration with YUNGBLUD, which resulted in the One More Time EP and gave Aerosmith a new chapter to explore alongside their extensive back catalogue.

For two nights in Los Angeles, however, the focus will be firmly on the band’s legacy and the musicians who have helped define rock music across generations. With The Black Crowes, Heart, Billy Idol, Run-DMC, Slash, Tom Morello, Sammy Hagar and many more sharing the stage, California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends is shaping up to be considerably more than a simple comeback.

Tickets go on general sale on Saturday 10 October at 10am PDT, following presales for Citi cardmembers and members of Aero Force One. A portion of proceeds from the concerts will benefit Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund.
