BABYMETAL, who had been sealed from the world since October 2021, have finally made an official return with the announcement of BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE, after about a year and 9 months since their last appearance. Today, they’ve also released a live performance music video of the album’s third single METAL KINGDOM, taken from their Japanese show last week.
The video consists of the most recent live footage from the performances held on 28th and 29th January at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba Japan. Prior to the release of the concept album THE OTHER ONE, the 3rd pre-release single METAL KINGDOM is a powerful anthem ushering the beginning of a new era while also representing the power and courage to step forward into uncharted territory. The track depicts the imagery of one rising powerfully from the throne of silence and is a fanfare announcing this new beginning.

BABYMETAL have also announced that they will have a two-day performance at PIA ARENA MM on 1st and 2nd April. It was revealed that, together with the departure of BABYMETAL into a new world, a new metal will be born. We’ll just have to see what the FOX GOD has in store for what’s to come next for BABYMETAL.
METAL KINGDOM follows previous singles Divine Attack – Shingeki released last October and the second single Monochrome released last November. One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is THRONE, and this third single centres around this theme. It is a powerful anthem ushering in the beginning of a new era while also representing the power and courage to step forward into uncharted territory. The track conveys imagery of one rising powerfully from the throne of silence, with a suitable fanfare announcing this new beginning.
BABYMETAL will be making a return to the live scene alongside SABATON and Lordi on their UK and EU tour
