Blondshell has launched the next chapter of her rapidly rising career with the release of new single Heart Has To Work So Hard alongside news of her biggest headline tour to date, including major UK and Ireland shows this winter.

The track marks the first taste of new material from Sabrina Teitelbaum since the release of 2025’s acclaimed If You Asked For A Picture and its companion project Another Picture. While details surrounding a new album remain tightly under wraps, Heart Has To Work So Hard signals a bold emotional continuation of the sharply observational songwriting that has quickly made Blondshell one of alternative music’s most compelling voices.

Built around raw guitars, cathartic hooks and Teitelbaum’s unmistakably candid lyricism, the single explores the emotional complexities of friendship, betrayal and unresolved tension. Speaking about the song, Teitelbaum explained: “This song is really about friendship and betrayal, getting stuck in a dynamic and letting things fester.” She added that it reflects “pain and confusion” but also “a love so enduring that you find compassion no matter what.”

The song recently made its live debut during Blondshell’s appearance at Coachella, where fans were given an early glimpse into the artist’s evolving sound. Musically, the track continues Blondshell’s knack for balancing grunge-influenced intensity with intimate storytelling, sitting somewhere between ‘90s alt-rock confessionals and modern indie vulnerability.

Alongside the single, the musician has announced an extensive North American and European headline run that represents the biggest tour of her career so far. The shows will see her graduate to significantly larger venues, including London’s iconic Roundhouse, which will host her largest UK headline performance to date.

Since emerging with her self-titled debut album in 2023, Blondshell has steadily built a reputation for fearless songwriting that tackles identity, anxiety, relationships and self-destruction with remarkable honesty. Her follow-up releases only strengthened that momentum, establishing her as one of the defining new voices in alternative rock’s current resurgence.

The newly announced tour also highlights just how quickly her audience has grown. Support across various dates will come from a range of rising alternative acts including TTSSFU, Theatre, Bully and Prewn, reflecting the increasingly interconnected new wave of indie and alternative artists currently reshaping the scene.

With Heart Has To Work So Hard, Blondshell appears poised to push even further creatively while continuing to connect with listeners through songs that feel intensely personal yet universally relatable. If this single is any indication, her next era could be her most powerful yet.
