Cherrytree Music Announces ‘Cherrytree London’ Live Show In Collaboration With EQ Music

by | Nov 12, 2024

The Cherrytree Music Company, the label, artist management firm and music publishing house behind global artists such as Sting, Shaggy and Incubus man Michael Einziger, have announced their Cherrytree London live show in collaboration with EQ Music. The special event will take place at London’s Camden Club on Friday 22nd November, featuring live performances from an amazing line-up of Cherrytree Music Company and EQ Music artists: Sophie Grey, Nico Tortorella, MYYLO and Nic Billington.

Cherrytree Event

The relationship between the Cherrytree Music Company and EQ Music spans back to 2011 when EQ covered the first Cherrytree London event that featured performances by chart-topping artists Ellie Goulding, LMFAO and Far East Movement. Martin Kierszenbaum, GRAMMY®-nominated musician, founder and CEO of Cherrytree Music Company, and Raj Rudolph, Founder, Chief Editor and head of EQ Music, had been kindred musical spirits, regularly encouraging and supporting each other’s initiatives.

Sophie Grey and Nico Tortorella represent an exciting new generation of Cherrytree artists, propelling the tradition of progressive pop into its next chapter. Classically trained pianist Sophie Grey has developed a self-produced, electrifying, new sound which she calls “Retro Electro” and fuses the spirits of her main influences Sade, The Weekend, Earth, Wind and Fire and The Killers with modern melodies and lyrics. Nico Tortorella, known for his lead acting roles in Younger and Walking Dead, is a multi-disciplined, creative catalyst who crafts personal scripts over lush electronic soundscapes and eclectic beats.

From EQ Music, MYYLO is an independent songwriter who blends pop, country, and folk. MYYLO’s introspective lyrics explore the intersection of queer and religious identity and a general unease about being alive. South African born, Nic Billington draws upon the music of Labrinth, The Weeknd and Billie Eilish to create a dark and melancholic sound with a modern and sexy twist. While melodies fuse dark pop and 80s nostalgia, his lyrics comment upon the personal struggles and hardships that he has faced.

Martin Kierszenbaum, CEO of Cherrytree Music Company said: “It’s invigorating to think that the Cherrytree Music Company has been going strong for nearly 20 years. Thank you to EQ Music for being steadfast advocates throughout. EQ has been hosting shows in the live space for some time so the idea to join forces and present this special night came about very organically. It’s going to be an exciting evening.”

Raj Rudolph, founder of EQ Music, adds: “Martin and I have always shared a love of pop music and passion for discovering new artists, so it felt natural to collaborate again for this special night. We’re thrilled to bring MYYLO and Nic Billington to the stage alongside such exciting Cherrytree artists and I cannot wait to watch them all perform.”

Cherrytree Music Company was founded in 2005 by multi-platinum, GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter/producer Martín Kierszenbaum, the Cherrytree Music Company provides management, record label and publishing services to a boutique roster of artists, producers and mixers who push the creative envelope in popular music. In the 19 years since its inception and launch of its first-ever release, Feist’s Let It Die album, Cherrytree has had an indelible impact on the music landscape from managing celebrated musician and cultural icon Sting to launching Lady Gaga’s first two albums.

The Cherrytree Music Company has also released culturally ground-breaking records and commercial successes by Ellie Goulding, LaRoux, Far East Movement and Robyn who’s 2010 Cherrytree release Body Talk was named Album of the Decade by Rolling Stone. The Cherrytree Music Company, responsible for over 40-million-unit sales to-date, remains a vital source for popular music and catalyst for artist collaboration and innovation.
