Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has unveiled the deluxe edition of his acclaimed third studio album The Epilogue, alongside the release of an emotionally raw new single, Hurt So Bad.
The expanded Epilogue (Deluxe) adds five additional tracks to the original album, including the fan-favourite With You, which has already racked up more than 113 million global streams. Other new additions include I Hate That It’s True, Truth, and a heartfelt cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ classic Iris, a crowd-pleaser during Lewis’s recent live shows.
Describing Hurt So Bad as the final part in a trilogy that began with global hit Be Alright and continued with Hurtless, Lewis shared: “The song is about loving someone so much and losing yourself in the process — giving everything you have and then having them disappear from your life, and dealing with the aftermath of that.”
The accompanying music video, directed by Lewis’s brother and longtime creative collaborator Sean Loaney, was filmed in the striking landscapes of Malibu Creek State Park in Los Angeles, capturing the emotional weight of the track through cinematic visuals.
Originally released in October 2023, The Epilogue includes standout tracks Trust Me Mate, Memories, All I Ever Wanted, and Empire. Combined with the deluxe edition, songs from the project have now amassed over 575 million streams globally.
Since his breakout in 2017, Dean Lewis has become one of Australia’s most successful musical exports, with over 14 billion global streams, more than 6.8 million album and EP sales, and a staggering list of awards and certifications. His signature hits Be Alright and Waves have collectively surpassed 8.5 billion streams, earning him multi-platinum status in numerous countries and a place in Spotify’s prestigious “Billions Club”.
Lewis has collaborated with major artists including Kygo, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Ruth B., and Julia Michaels. He’s toured globally, supported the likes of James Arthur and AJR, and performed at major festivals and venues around the world — including a milestone performance at the AFL Grand Final.
Following a triumphant 2023 and a massive start to 2024, Dean Lewis continues to prove his staying power. With the deluxe edition of The Epilogue now available, and Hurt So Bad poised to strike a chord with fans new and old, Lewis enters the second half of 2025 stronger than ever — cementing his place as one of pop’s most emotionally resonant voices.
