London’s summer calendar just got another major highlight as Duran Duran are announced as the latest headliners for BST Hyde Park 2026, set to take over The Great Oak Stage on Sunday 5th July. Joining them as special guests will be fellow pop trailblazers Scissor Sisters, with further acts still to be revealed.
Duran Duran @ The O2
Returning to Hyde Park for the second time in five years, Duran Duran’s headline slot promises a celebration of one of British pop’s most enduring legacies. With a catalogue boasting global hits like Rio, Hungry Like The Wolf and Ordinary World, the band—fronted by Simon Le Bon alongside Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor—continue to prove their staying power decades into their career.
With over 100 million records sold worldwide and a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the group’s influence remains unmistakable. Their most recent album, Danse Macabre, showcased a darker, theatrical edge, blending new material with reimagined classics and high-profile collaborations. As they head into 2026, fresh music is also on the horizon, adding further anticipation to their Hyde Park return.
Live, Duran Duran remain a formidable force, coming off a string of sold-out arena tours and landmark performances, including a major Manchester headline show and international festival appearances. Their BST Hyde Park set is expected to be one of the defining nights of the summer. It was, in fact, only last year that Duran Duran’ Simon Le Bon andJohn Taylor graced Hyde Park’s Great Oak Stage for an airing of Hungry Like The Wolf alongside popstress Sabrina Carpenter.
Joining them are Scissor Sisters, whose flamboyant, genre-blurring pop made them one of the most distinctive acts of the 2000s. Following their reunion in 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut, the band—featuring Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis—have returned to the stage with renewed energy, bringing their signature mix of glam, chaos and infectious hooks back to audiences worldwide.
Their appearance alongside Duran Duran feels fitting, given the shared DNA between the two acts—both known for redefining pop with style, theatricality and an unashamed embrace of spectacle.
The announcement adds to an already stacked BST Hyde Park 2026 line-up, reinforcing the festival’s reputation as one of the capital’s premier live music events.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday 1st April, with pre-sales available in the days leading up to the release.
