DICE Return With Euphoric New Single ‘COOLER’

by | Mar 27, 2026

Australian indie risers DICE have kicked off 2026 with the release of their expansive new single COOLER, signalling a bold step forward in both sound and ambition.

Recorded at the iconic EastWest Studios in Los Angeles, the track sees the Perth four-piece teaming up with GRAMMY®-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli, known for his work with The Strokes and The White Stripes. The result is a polished yet emotionally charged evolution of DICE’s signature garage-rock sound, now infused with a breezier, more refined pop-rock edge.

Adding further texture to the track is Jay Watson—a key figure in Tame Impala, Pond and GUM—whose shimmering keys bring a sense of warmth and melodic depth to the song’s widescreen feel.

Comprised of Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley and Sam Barrett-Lennard, DICE have quickly built a reputation for crafting music rooted in connection and emotional honesty. Following the success of their 2024 debut album Midnight Zoo, which charted in Australia, the band’s trajectory has continued to rise. A prolific 2025 saw them expand their sonic identity with the WINGS EP while taking their high-energy live show to international stages across London, New York, Toronto, Amsterdam and Sydney.

With COOLER, the band tap into the bittersweet complexities of relationships that fail to align, exploring the push and pull of emotional investment and eventual acceptance. It’s a track that captures both vulnerability and release—delivered through a sun-soaked, road trip-ready soundscape that feels as immediate as it is reflective.

As DICE move into what promises to be their most ambitious chapter yet, COOLER offers a glimpse of a band growing in confidence and scope, without losing the raw emotional core that first set them apart.
