The Beast from the East wasn’t going to stop this already rearranged show from going ahead. Electric Six had sold this one out months in advance and the snow didn’t seem to stop anyone’s journey as they packed out the Academy Islington, London. Here is the concert photography from the show.

With sixteen albums under their belt Dick Valentine and his band have a large enough back catalogue to delve into to ensure the crowd are bouncing along to each one. The two standout songs through the night are probably the two that made them a household name. It’s been fifteen years since Gay Bar and Danger! High Voltage hit the top five of the UK charts, but they’ve not lost any of their fun. The audience sang the whole way through.

The current lineup of Dick Valentine, Da Ve, Johnny Na$hinal, Tait Nucleus?, Rob Lower and Two-Handed Bob have plenty of UK tour dates this year, so there’s no excuses to miss them. You’ll need to be quick off the mark as they appear to sell out sharpish! Electric Six are looking to bring out a double album this year entitled A Very Electric SiXmas (a holiday album) and Chill Out! (an acoustic album) with the funds being raised via a Kickstarter campaign. With a loyal fanbase behind them it looks likes we’ll be rocking out to Electric Six this Christmas.
