Following the return single Road To Nowhere, Stop finds the band leaning into a more liberated and emotionally direct sound. Frontman Danny McNamara describes the track as a defining statement of mindset during the album’s creation—one rooted in stepping back from pressure, embracing uncertainty, and living more fully in the present.

That sense of release and reflection runs throughout Avalanche, a record shaped by themes of fragility, joy and the fleeting nature of life. Rather than chasing grand statements, Embrace have opted for something more immediate and human, capturing moments of honesty and contradiction in their rawest form. It marks a conscious shift toward imperfection and emotional clarity, with the band prioritising feel over polish.

Now over three decades into their career, Embrace continue to evolve while maintaining the anthemic songwriting that has defined them since their breakthrough debut The Good Will Out. With more than two million albums sold and a string of chart successes behind them, 2026 sees the band marking their 30th anniversary with a packed schedule of releases and live shows.

Alongside the album, Embrace have announced a run of intimate outstore performances across the UK in June, offering fans a closer look at the new material. These dates will be followed by a major UK headline tour in November, celebrating their legacy with a nationwide run that includes a landmark London show at Roundhouse.

With a sold-out hometown show already confirmed at Halifax’s Piece Hall and momentum building around Avalanche, Embrace head into their fourth decade with renewed purpose—proving that even after 30 years, they’re still finding new ways to connect.
