Transcontinental deathcore collective Face Yourself have unleashed their brand-new EP Fury via Sumerian Records, accompanied by the release of the music video for their latest single Wet Dreams. The five-track record marks the band’s most ambitious and technically refined work to date, expanding upon the raw energy of their breakthrough Martyr EP.
Produced by Joey Sturgis, Fury blends technical death metal precision with Face Yourself’s signature intensity, exploring themes of anger and vulnerability in equal measure. From the crushing riffs of Wet Dreams through to the blistering chaos of Fractures and Ov Agony, the EP showcases a band stepping confidently into a new era of their sound.
Frontwoman Yasmine Liverneaux describes Fury as a natural continuation of Martyr: “We tried to bolster a more mature sound with elevated musicianship, implementing more death metal sensibilities this time around. Fury showcases anger with a broader spectrum—fast technical riffs, gloomy melodies, and varied instrumentation. We really hope the audience enjoys this record as much as we do, and we can’t wait to play some of these songs live.”
The video for Wet Dreams visually amplifies the EP’s darker themes, offering a stark and unsettling counterpart to the track’s crushing sonics. Check it out below:
Face Yourself will soon bring their new material to stages across North America, joining Signs of the Swarm’s headline tour this October alongside Mental Cruelty, ten56., and Carcosa. Kicking off in Montreal on 2nd October, the tour will see the band traverse major U.S. and Canadian cities across the month.
Formed from members across New York, New Jersey, Colorado, and France, Face Yourself embody a diverse blend of influences that drive their unique approach to deathcore. Vocalist Liverneaux brings a socially conscious perspective into the fold, while the band’s combination of Myspace-era riffage, modern heaviness, and relentless energy has positioned them as one of the most exciting names in the genre’s current wave.
