Fickle Friends Bottle The Chaos Of New Love On Single ‘Joe’ Ahead Of Self-Titled Album

by | Oct 2, 2025

Brighton indie-pop favourites Fickle Friends have unveiled their latest single Joe, a bold and chaotic anthem that captures the electric rush – and irrational meltdowns – of falling in love. The track arrives as a teaser for their forthcoming self-titled third studio album Fickle Friends, set for release on 7th November via Palmeira Music.

Frontwoman Natassja Shiner explains: “Joe captures the thrills (and the meltdowns) of new love. That rush when everything feels electric, but your brain won’t stop whispering, ‘it’s too good to be true.’ It’s messy, irrational… bringing out the unhinged side in even the most measured people. We took that jittery, overthinking energy and bottled it in a bold, chaotic, indie pop anthem.”

The release follows a string of successful singles, including Feral, Swoon, Dream, Happier and UP!, all of which have gained impressive streaming traction through the band’s entirely independent approach.

Their new self-produced album sees Fickle Friends take full creative control, resulting in what they call their most authentic work yet. With 11 tracks blending euphoric hooks and heartfelt lyrics, the record is a love letter to joy, friendship, and embracing life unapologetically.

“This album feels like the most authentic we’ve ever been,” Shiner reflects. “It’s the sound of falling back in love with music, with being a band, and with life itself. It’s honest and FUN.”

The four-piece – Natassja Shiner (vocals, keys), Jack Wilson (keys), Harry Herrington (bass, backing vocals), and Sam Morris (drums) – will take the new material on the road this November for a UK tour, including a special sold-out release-day show at Brighton’s Green Doo.
