Foo Fighters Unleash ‘Caught In The Echo’ As Intimate UK & Ireland Run Leads Into Stadium Return

Rock titans Foo Fighters continue the rollout of their forthcoming 12th studio album Your Favorite Toy with the explosive new single Caught In The Echo, offering another high-voltage glimpse into what promises to be one of their most ferocious records to date.

Serving as the album’s opening track, Caught In The Echo wastes no time in igniting proceedings—charging out of the gate with urgent, repeat-hook intensity before spiralling into a full-throttle assault of jagged guitars and raw energy. It’s a statement of intent that channels the band’s live-wire power, recalling the unrelenting spirit that has defined their most celebrated work.

Set for release on 24th April via Roswell Records/Columbia Records, Your Favorite Toy was recorded at home and co-produced by the band alongside Oliver Roman, with mixing handled by Mark “Spike” Stent. Across its ten tracks, the album is said to lean into a rough-edged, back-to-basics ethos, capturing the immediacy and chaos of the band at full tilt.

The new material has already begun to make its mark on stage. Last month, the band quietly returned to the UK and Ireland for a run of intimate, last-minute shows—offering fans a rare chance to see them in close quarters. The run included stops at Dublin’s The Academy, London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire—where Rockshot Magazine was in attendance—and Manchester’s O2 Ritz.

They also kicked things off with a unique, recorded performance at St. James’ Church, Dingle as part of Other Voices, debuting new cuts from Your Favorite Toy in a strikingly intimate setting. That special broadcast is set to air on RTÉ2 and stream globally via RTÉ Player on Monday 6th April.

Beyond the small-stage surprises, Dave Grohl and co. have also been stirring up fan excitement stateside, hiding a series of hand-decorated CDs of Caught In The Echo across Los Angeles in a playful scavenger hunt—further fuelling anticipation for the album’s release.

Looking ahead, Foo Fighters will bring their full-scale live show back to the UK this summer as part of their Take Cover world tour, with two massive, already sold-out dates at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium. With new music in tow and momentum firmly on their side, the band’s return to stadium stages is set to be nothing short of seismic.
