2000trees Festival has revealed a major update to its 2026 line-up, announcing Funeral For A Friend as the new Friday headliner, alongside a huge list of additional artists joining an already stacked bill — with the excitement of Saturday’s headliner announcement still to come.

Set to return to Upcote Farm in Cheltenham from 8–11 July 2026, the beloved independent festival continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the UK’s most essential destinations for alternative, punk, emo and heavy music fans.

Funeral For A Friend to Headline Friday

Welsh post-hardcore icons Funeral For A Friend will top the bill on Friday, delivering a headline set packed with emotional anthems and explosive energy. With landmark releases such as Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation and Hours, the band’s return to the for their only UK date, 2000trees stage feels like a perfect match for the festival’s fiercely loyal crowd.

Their announcement adds serious weight to a headliner roster that already includes Alkaline Trio, while Saturday’s headliner remains under wraps, keeping anticipation high as fans wait to see who will close out the weekend’s biggest night.

A huge new wave of bands added alongside the Friday headliner reveal, 2000trees has also confirmed an extensive list of new additions across the weekend, covering punk, hardcore, metal, indie and alternative rock.

From the raw intensity of Militarie Gun and Stress Positions, to the genre-bending heaviness of Arcane Roots, the chaotic brilliance of The Scratch, and the unmistakable swagger of The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx, the new announcements highlight the depth and diversity that 2000trees has become known for.

These latest additions build on a line-up that was already overflowing with highlights. Thursday sees Alkaline Trio headlining alongside PUP, Bad Nerves, Superheaven, and The Bronx, while Saturday currently boasts glassjaw, High Vis, Dinosaur Pile-Up, I Am The Avalanche, and many more with one huge headline slot still to be revealed.
