Gaeya Channels Nordic Mysticism And Environmental Hope On New Single ‘The Lucky Ones’

Swedish artist Gaeya continues to build her immersive sonic universe with the release of her powerful new single The Lucky Ones, the latest preview of her forthcoming EP Growth, due for release on 19th June.

Blending shimmering electronic pop with spiritual undertones and deeply rooted environmental themes, The Lucky Ones arrives as both a rallying cry and a moment of reflection. Built around warm basslines, glowing synth textures and sparse but commanding percussion, the track gradually unfolds into a hypnotic finale inspired by Gaeya’s Nordic heritage, with chant-like vocals adding an almost ritualistic atmosphere.

At its core, the single carries a message of collective responsibility and empowerment. Gaeya uses the track to encourage listeners to reconnect with nature, community and personal agency at a time when global uncertainty and division continue to dominate public discourse.

Describing the song as “a call for hope, courage, and conscious action,” Gaeya explains that The Lucky Ones is about recognising humanity’s shared power to create positive change. Themes of environmental protection, freedom, compassion and integrity run throughout the track, positioning it as one of her most direct and emotionally resonant releases to date.

The new single follows earlier release Higher Ground, another expansive and spiritually driven composition that paired ethereal synth work with tribal-inspired rhythms. Together, the tracks paint a clear picture of the sonic and philosophical direction of Growth, a project centred around transformation, healing and personal evolution.

Produced by Anders Rane, the forthcoming EP sees Gaeya further refining the “Earth Music” aesthetic she has become known for — a genre-blurring fusion of cinematic electronic production, primal vocal work and Nordic mysticism. Drawing equally from ancient traditions and futuristic sound design, Growth aims to bridge past and present while encouraging listeners to engage with both inner and outer change.

The EP also acts as a thematic continuation of Gaeya’s 2021 debut Awakening, which explored the first stages of self-awareness and conscious living. Where that release focused on questioning identity and purpose, Growth appears to embrace the next phase: transformation through action, connection and resilience.

Her live shows are designed as transformative spaces rather than traditional concerts, combining atmosphere, visual storytelling and emotional intensity. Over recent years she has toured internationally across Europe, the United States and South Africa while expanding her wider creative projects, including the WE ARE NATURE Festival and the FIND Foundation, which supports rewilding initiatives and Indigenous cultural preservation.
