UK alt-pop rising star JERUB has released his brand-new mixtape The Wonder Years marking another milestone in what has already been a defining year for the Nottingham-based artist. The mixtape lands hot on the heels of JERUB’s chart-topping single Kumbaya, which recently hit No.1 on iTunes and entered the Global Big Top 40, further solidifying his reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices. The release also comes ahead of The Wonder Years Tour, his biggest-ever headline run, which will see him perform across 14 cities in the UK and Europe — including a landmark show at London’s Jazz Café on 25th November.
Blending emotion, storytelling, and a soulful vocal delivery, The Wonder Years is a striking showcase of JERUB’s artistry. The seven-track collection weaves together themes of nostalgia, vulnerability, love, and self-discovery, featuring fan favourites like Let It Go, Deeper, and Kumbaya, alongside four brand-new songs that reveal a more introspective side to the artist.
Speaking about the release, JERUB shared: “Recently I’ve been feeling like life can pull you in so many directions — looking back with nostalgia or forward to what’s ahead. In that tension between past and future, the present moment can so easily slip through our fingers. The Wonder Years is about embracing the messy, complicated now… because maybe the wonder years aren’t behind us or ahead of us. Maybe they’re happening right now, in all their imperfect glory.”
The mixtape opens with Hear You Calling — one of JERUB’s most vulnerable songs yet — before moving through the heartfelt Back To Life, written for a loved one during difficult times. The title track, Wonder Years, captures the project’s reflective core, while Rare closes the collection with an anthemic message about being seen and loved without condition.
Since signing with Elevate Music, JERUB has achieved over 75 million streams, released two acclaimed EPs, and performed at major events including the King’s Coronation Concert with Pete Tong’s Heritage Orchestra. He has also taken the stage for Children In Need, Comic Relief, and D-Day commemorations, while touring alongside artists such as JP Cooper, Tom Walker, Gavin James, Victor Ray, and Nick Mulvey.
With an honest, emotionally resonant sound that draws comparisons to Myles Smith, Teddy Swims, and Lewis Capaldi, JERUB continues to win fans with his raw sincerity and magnetic stage presence. The Wonder Years is more than a mixtape — it’s a defining statement from an artist coming fully into his own.
