Jorja Smith Joins The O2’s 20th Birthday Celebrations With Exclusive 2027 Arena Show

by | Aug 21, 2026

Two-time BRIT Award winner Jorja Smith is set to headline The O2 in London next summer as part of the venue’s 20th birthday celebrations, with her performance confirmed for Saturday 17th July 2027.

The show will be a significant milestone for Smith, marking her first-ever headline performance at The O2 and, according to the venue, her only UK arena performance of 2027. “Performing at The O2 as part of its 20th birthday celebrations is a huge honour,” says Smith. “It’s a venue that has hosted so many incredible artists and unforgettable moments over the years, so to be part of this milestone feels really special. I’m excited to celebrate with you all.”

Smith becomes the latest name added to The O2’s growing 20th birthday programme, which will run throughout summer 2027 and bring together artists from across the musical spectrum.

She joins an already diverse line-up that includes Maisie Peters, who will perform on 8th May, Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal on 4th June and Puerto Rican reggaeton star Don Omar on 5th July. Further artists are expected to be announced in the coming months.

For Smith, the July show represents another major chapter in a career that began with the release of her breakthrough single Blue Lights. Her distinctive combination of soulful vocals, understated production and deeply personal songwriting has since established her as one of the UK’s leading contemporary artists.

Over the course of her career, Smith has collaborated with an impressive range of artists, including Stormzy, Kendrick Lamar, Burna Boy and Childish Gambino, while her own releases have taken her from the UK’s emerging talent circuit to major international stages.

The O2 date will provide an opportunity to see Smith scale up to one of London’s largest indoor venues for her first headline appearance there, with the show forming part of a summer-long celebration of the iconic Greenwich venue. “We are so pleased to welcome Jorja Smith, for what will be her only UK arena performance of 2027, to our ever-growing 20th birthday line-up,” says Christian D’Acuna, Vice President of Programming at The O2. “The show will be Jorja’s first-ever headline performance at the venue, making it a special moment both for us at The O2 and for her fans.”

The O2 opened its doors in 2007 and has since welcomed more than 100 million visitors and hosted over 3,000 shows. Across those two decades, the venue has become a major fixture in London’s live music calendar, hosting artists from virtually every corner of the musical world. Its 20th anniversary celebrations will also mark more than 20 years of partnership with headline sponsor O2, with the two organisations having worked together since the venue’s inception. Smith’s appearance therefore arrives as one of the headline moments of a birthday programme designed to reflect the breadth of music that has filled the venue over its first two decades.

Tickets for Jorja Smith’s 20th anniversary show will initially be available through a Priority presale for O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers from 10am on Wednesday 26th August 2026, before going on general sale at 10am on Friday 28th August 2026.
