Micah Martin Unleashes ‘Thrown Away’ Ahead Of Debut Album ‘All I Need’

by | Aug 21, 2026

LA-based rocktronic pioneer and bass music vocalist Micah Martin has released his latest single, Thrown Away, offering another explosive preview of his forthcoming debut album All I Need, dropping on 20th November 2026.

A huge, emotionally charged pop-punk anthem, Thrown Away finds Martin exploring the complicated territory between love, self-destruction and the fear that even changing for someone else might not be enough. Produced by Kevin Thrasher, whose credits include Machine Gun Kelly, Blink-182 and Avril Lavigne, and mixed and mastered by Joel Wanasek, the track combines the melodic immediacy of pop-punk with the heavier electronic production that has become central to Martin’s evolving sound.

“Thrown Away is one of the most personal pop punk songs on the album,” says Martin. “It’s about changing parts of who you are for someone you love and then finding yourself terrified that, despite everything you’ve done, it still might never be enough.”

That emotional uncertainty drives the track, with Martin capturing the push and pull of believing someone has helped save you from yourself while simultaneously fearing that you could lose the person who helped shape who you have become. Musically, it gives Martin the opportunity to reconnect with his pop-punk roots while pushing the song into the larger, genre-defying world of All I Need.

“I wanted the song to capture that messy, desperate feeling of loving someone so much that you’re willing to fight for it even when you’re not sure they’re fighting for you anymore,” he explains.

Thrown Away follows a series of increasingly ambitious singles that have established the breadth of the forthcoming album. Burn Them All featuring OddKidOut throws heavy guitars, screamed vocals and jump-up drum & bass into the mix, while Tomorrow’s Over, made with fellow rocktronic artist HIGHSOCIETY, combines crushing metal riffs, pounding rhythms and brutal breakdowns.

Together, the tracks provide a taste of an album that refuses to stay within a single genre. All I Need moves between metalcore, pop-punk, drum & bass, dubstep, hardstyle, hyperpop and house, with Martin using each style as another way of expressing the emotional experiences at the heart of the record. “It’s chaotic, it’s intentional, and it’s the most honest body of work I have ever made,” says Martin. “It’s a collision between my past as a relentless touring rock artist and the heavier, more refined rocktronic sound I’ve evolved into.”

That journey is reflected from the opening moments of the album. Slip Away, created with Thrasher and Wanasek, combines pop-punk hooks, metal riffs, screams and bass-heavy drops, setting the tone for a record that continually moves between live-band intensity and electronic maximalism.

Close To The End follows with a huge pop-punk chorus centred on overcoming inner turmoil, while the title track takes a darker turn. Built around big-room dubstep and contrasting moments of gentle, vulnerable vocals, All I Need confronts what it means to battle your own mind while still looking towards connection and compassion.

Martin describes the title track as one of his most vulnerable songs, explaining that its central idea emerged from a point where he was carrying so much internally that he struggled to articulate it.

Elsewhere, Mental Frequency pushes into blistering drum & bass, combining soaring melodies with crushing guitars, while I Need A Vacation channels burnout and exhaustion into dark, heavy dubstep. Finally Home, featuring Houston rapper Hyro The Hero, brings a nu-metal edge, while UK electronic producer Flux Pavilion joins Martin for Never Meant, a brighter and more euphoric celebration of the relationships that help keep us grounded.

The album closes with Holy Ground, an emotive, country-tinged ballad inspired by one of the darkest periods of Martin’s life. “It was inspired by one of the darkest nights of my life,” he says. “I reached a breaking point and came face-to-face with the realization that I still wanted to live.”

That sense of survival and connection provides the emotional thread running through All I Need. While the production is deliberately expansive, the album’s core is rooted in Martin’s own experiences with anxiety, heartbreak, trauma, self-doubt and feeling lost.

For Martin, the record is ultimately about finding a way through those experiences rather than allowing them to define the future. “Even though the music jumps between metalcore, hyperpop, drum & bass, dubstep, hardstyle, and house, the heart of every song is the same,” he says. “I wanted to make an album that feels as chaotic as life can be, while still leaving people with hope.”

Martin’s ability to bridge rock and electronic music comes from a career spent occupying both worlds. He first made his name as frontman of rock band The Zealots, formed in 2014 in the Quad Cities region of Iowa and Illinois, touring alongside acts including I Prevail, Memphis May Fire, Pop Evil, Theory Of A Deadman and Drowning Pool.

Following the band’s end in 2020, Martin channelled his rock background into electronic music, becoming a sought-after vocalist across the bass scene. He has collaborated with artists including SLANDER, Zomboy, Kayzo, PhaseOne, Rebelion and Sub Zero Project, while performing at major venues and festivals including Red Rocks, The Hollywood Palladium, The Gorge, EDC Las Vegas and Lost Lands.

He has subsequently expanded his role within the electronic world, becoming a daily host on Insomniac Radio’s bass-focused IMPACT channel and BASSRUSH Radio, while also developing as a DJ and solo artist.

His debut rock EP, MICAH MARTIN, featuring AJ of The Dangerous Summer and TJ Minor, marked another step towards bringing those two musical identities together. All I Need now represents the fullest expression of that journey: a record where punk, rock and metal collide with the physical impact of contemporary bass music.

With Thrown Away adding another emotional and melodic dimension to the project, All I Need is shaping up as a bold statement from an artist who has spent years moving between scenes and refusing to choose just one.
