MIKA Announces Intimate UK Stripped-Back Shows To Celebrate New Album ‘Hyperlove’

by | Jan 10, 2026

MIKA has announced a special run of intimate, stripped-back performances and in-store talks across the UK to celebrate the release of Hyperlove, his first English-language studio album since 2019. Set for release on 23rd January, Hyperlove marks a bold new chapter for the multi-platinum, BRIT Award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated artist. To mark the occasion, MIKA will return to record stores for a series of rare, close-quarters appearances where he will perform a handful of songs and speak directly to fans about the writing and recording process behind the album.

“This is something I have never done before,” MIKA explains. “I’ll be visiting some record stores around the UK where I will be performing a few songs and talking you through my recording and writing process. I am so excited to do it in the place where it all started for me.”

With Hyperlove, MIKA reconnects with the piano as the creative heart of his songwriting, using it as a starting point for an album that balances warmth and vulnerability with the sleek pulse of electronic pop. Written entirely at the piano and created using analogue and vintage outboard gear, the record embraces imperfections, weaving together grit, longing and euphoric release. The result is an album that feels deeply human while exploring the tension between emotion and technology.

Across a career spanning nearly two decades, MIKA has established himself as one of pop’s most distinctive voices. Since breaking through with Grace Kelly and the era-defining Life In Cartoon Motion, he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, topped charts in more than 30 countries, and built a catalogue celebrated for its colour, emotional honesty and fearless creativity. Alongside his music, his work in television, philanthropy and global cultural projects has reinforced his reputation as an artist driven by connection and possibility.
